“Truly opulent; a real Ottoman Palace!!”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and wished it could have been forever!
This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you want to be indulged and pampered.
Located on the Palm it instantly takes you away from the bustle of the main city and drops you into paradise.
The decor takes your breath away with its luxurious colour schemes, grand chandeliers and fountains. You instantly relax from the moment you walk into the lobby with its traditional perfumery aroma and calming music.
There are 8 restaurants in total, each offering amazing dishes. The indian restaurant 'Amala' and their signature dishes is an absolute must.
We were also lucky enough to visit the Talise Spa which is a great Ottoman retreat. It offers a variety of different eastern treatments and it is well worth paying the extra for a couples suite to truly indulge.
We stayed in the imperial suite which was heavenly but we had a quick peek at the deluxe rooms which are equally as beautiful. The bathrooms are massive with their huge turkish baths and rain showers and beds are extremely comfortable.
The pool and beach location is great and not overly crowded.
The staff and service was exceptional, every member of staff greeted you with a smile and were always friendly and helpful.

This hotel offers the most perfect stay and should be rated higher in the trip advisor list. We have stayed at other hotels in Dubai such as The Raffles but they pale in significance to this hotel. This hotel should be 5*+

We can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Go for a room overlooking the pool and the beach. The Imperial King suite is utterly luxurious.

We still have 5 nights of our 12 day stay here....this hotel (is really an Ottoman palace!) is truly amazing.

The hotel decor, rooms, pool, spa (the biggest in middle east), restaurants and last but not least the people working here have all been exceptional.

We are also on the half board package which to say is value for money is an understatement...having the option to eat in 37 Jumeirah hotel restaurants is superb.

My first stay in a Jumeirah hotel on my 10th visit to Dubai and I'm definately converted to their brand...

A definite must see/stay hotel...

Just had 2 nights in Dubai en-route to Maldives and it was the most amazing hotel and staff were extremely attentive. The hotel lobby was just so opulent, tried to take photos of one of the many beautiful chandeliers but it does not do it justice. Stayed in a deluxe room, huge bedroom with the Turkish bath and Aspray toiletries were just heaven. The beach was lovely and the infinity pool breathtaking. Everything was perfect and cannot find a single fault. The hoteliers in Dubai really know what luxury hotels are about. Well done to the GM and his team. I would give it a 7* rating. I want to bring my son over next year and I will definitely be booking this hotel. Have been to Dubai twice before....

We were very happy to stay in the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The service was perfect and as we were in a junior suite, we could have access to the lounge. The people there were very nice with us and specially Simon.
I clearly recommend this hotel.
Have nice trip

We stayed at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray last year (Sept 2011). Our stay at the hotel was flawless, the service was exemplary. The hotel rooms are very spacious and done to a very high standard including a large marble Turkish bathtub. The pool area is fantastic and the beach is also nice. We also tried the Indian restaurant at the hotel and although pricey, the food was amazing. The only downside of the hotel is it location if you want to be near downtown. If you want a top luxury hotel with great service and atmosphere then this hotel is as good as it gets!

We definitely be returning to this hotel on our next visit to Dubai.

In regard to your feedback on the location of our hotel on Palm Jumeirah, while you may find the location to be a downside, many of our guests often compliment this feature as a ‘perfect retreat’. Last year my Fiancé and I stayed at this hotel relatively soon after it had opened and had a mixed review (please see my review from last year if interested). The pool service was slow (if you got any at all!), the meals at one of the restaurants was poor and there was a general feel that the staff members paid to stand around the main lobby were only acknowledging you because they were being forced to not because they actually wanted to. The place seemed to lack the extra touch that you would expect from a hotel of this pedigree.

However, one year on I am delighted to say that having just stayed here again for two nights pretty much everything has improved. The standard of service (apart from the front desk that I will come to later) was very good. The pool service was good and efficient, the meals that we had in both the Imperium and Al Nafoorah were excellent and the buffet breakfast was of very high quality and choice. In addition the staff nearly everywhere seem now happy to be there and were very helpful (particularly concierge who went above and beyond to help us on every occasion we went to see them).

The rooms were still just as good as last year. This time around we had a view overlooking the pool and Atlantis hotel (last year we were on the other side) and preferred this so would recommend trying to get a room on this side of the hotel. The water does go hot and cold as people have mentioned in previous reviews but this was not big issue and soon sorted. I still do not think I will ever stay anywhere else that has such a big bath - it felt mad to be sitting in that knowing that we were in the desert!

This year I (On my Fiancé's recommendation) went to the Talise Spa. This in itself is worth coming to the hotel for. It has been beautifully built and I defy anyone not to come out feeling exceptionally calm and relaxed after visiting this place. If you stay at this hotel please take the time out to visit this area (I am also told by my Fiancé that the Men's spa is equally outstanding).

Our only complaint sadly came on checkout. The lady who served us asked us to pay for mini bar purchases that we hadn't taken. When we explained that this was a mistake on their end these were deducted from our bill but we received no apology for the mistake from her and her attitude towards us was generally poor. In addition we mentioned to her as feedback that the food had taken a very long time to be served at one of the restaurants and her response was to question that this was really that long (we waited over 40 minutes between our starter and main course at (after chasing) even though there was only three tables in the restaurant (Imperiam)). We weren't looking for anything tangible in return for this but again an apology and a promise that this would be fed back would have been appropriate which we did not get.

Aside from this small blip though the hotel really is fantastic. The decor is amazing and really does take your breath away as you enter. Yes it is a little far out (about 30-40 minute drive from the Dubai Mall) but taxis are very cheap and always waiting outside. To be honest, depending on how long you are staying for there is really very little reason to leave anyway!

Overall we had an amazing time and one year on would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about staying here.

Dear Guest

I appreciate your loyalty to Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and would like to thank you for your review from your recent stay with us and for recommending our Resort Trip Advisor.

I was of course most concerned to learn of the attitude of my colleague upon check out as well as the service delays you faced while dining at Imperium Restaurant for which I would like to express my sincere apologies that this has left you to feel disappointed. I certainly appreciate you bringing this to my attention and I am grateful that this experience has not tainted your overall impressions of your holiday with us.

On a more positive note, thank you for acknowledging the improvements in our service standards with the resort as well as the excellent quality and choice of Food and Beverage at both restaurants Imperium and Al Nafoorah where you had dined.

Once again, thank you for posting a review on TripAdvisor and for recommending Jumeirah Zabeel Saray as well as our Talise Ottoman Spa on Trip Advisor. We certainly look forward to welcoming you and your fiancé back to our Resort in the near future.

Amazing looking hotel and I'm told it was used in Mission Impossible 4 (-the part in India?!) the main issue I faced is just how long it takes to get off the palm and the wait for yellow taxis (not the more expensive private ones that seem to pushed on you everywhere!). Although I only had breakfast (which is a typical buffet affair) I can recommend the bar with the egg shaped chairs for a fun warm up drink before going into the city though it is pricey unless you're it's "ladies night" and you get free drinks for a period!

Room Tip: It's the palm so good views all round

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback from your recent visit of our hotel and for recommending our Voda Bar on Trip Advisor.

With regard to your feedback on the time it takes to get off Palm Jumeirah, on average it takes around 10 to 15 minutes from Jumeirah Zabeel Saray to get off the Palm. As for Dubai taxis, we are working more closely with Road Transport Authority to meet our demands and ensure the availability.

Thank you once again for posting your review on Trip Advisor. We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back in the very near future.
