“Not Recommended At All”
Reviewed 13 April 2014 via mobile

We were booked at this hotel in an Executive Suite for 7 nights. First off the bathroom wasn't clean enough, there were scratches and black fragments in the bathtub on the first day, the corners were dirty, the magnifying mirror was smudged. Not only that but the towels were pretty old and worn and the toilet didn't even flush properly, it had to be flushed 3 or 4 times each time, we did inform the receptionist about it but they had no action.
To be fair the size of the room and kitchen was very generous, but there were some things that should have been checked before the room was given to us that weren't - the lamps on the night stand didn't work (the bulbs were changed after we told reception), and the bin in the kitchen was broken. There was also a really bad smell from the sink in the kitchen and the cupboard underneath for our entire stay.
We also had a problem with the bed sheets not being changed, according to reception the sheets are supposed to be changed daily. This certainly wasn't the case, as one of the bed sheets we were given had small holes in it (we tried not to think about the fact these could have been made by bugs) and it wasn't changed for 2 nights, I was bitten twice wasn't sure if it was bugs but could have been an ants bite.
There is construction going on right next to the hotel and the view from our hotel room was of a building site (we had even emailed prior to our stay asking for a decent view and avoid the construction side as we did read the people before us viewing which we didn't get). We were woken up a few times by the construction workers early in the morning. When I tried to open the window on the first day the top hinge fell off the frame and the window came loose from the wall.
There is no free wifi at this hotel, the wifi in the rooms is charged which is fair enough (though it is really expensive to buy for a day almost £10 ) but there is no free wifi in the lobby either.
The staff in the hotel were fairly nice but unfortunately we found them pretty unhelpful when we were asking about places to go, especially for shopping...we asked about where to go to buy Arabic sweets other than the overpriced shops in the mall and nobody seemed to have any idea the tourist attraction and tickets man at the lobby had no computer to check for us an opening hours ... , There was one member of staff who we found helpful but when he wasn't around we were stuck.

The hotel itself needs an update as the decor is a bit outdated. We booked an executive one bedroom suite. It's got separate kitchen, living room, bedroom with ensuite and another toilet/powder room. I've gotta mention that the shower head is terrible slow, can't feel the water hit you. We had to let the water running for about 7-10 mins then we will get the hot water. We stayed there for 8 days and had breakfast everyday which is pretty average. There's not much variety and almost everyday the same menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Elvie, the receptionist. She recommended us things to do and she gave us some tips about how to get around. The location of the hotel is just ok. It took us 15 mins walk to reach the metro (train). The metro can take you to emirates mall, Dubai mall, airport, anywhere.

We stayed here in early March and after much internet searching chose this hotel and we were not disappointed. It is clean and well kept, the staff were attentive and quick to please. Our room was missing a kettle and one was delivered to our door in less than 5 minutes. We arrived at 2am and I thought this might be a problem as their website states check-in only up to midnight but the man on the desk could not have been more friendly. There is a 24 hour mini supermarket at the base of the hotel and this was brilliant as we could get our provisions at any time of day or night. The metro station is not the 5 minutes away as stated on their website more like 10 to 15 taking a leisurely stroll. If you ran all the way you might make it in 5 minutes. This was not an issue though. The facilities are excellent, there are 2 swimming pools, spa, sauna. steam room and gym. The room was well laid out with all you might need although a few more utensils etc would not go amiss. All in all a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our week there. Taxis are readily available at the front of the hotel and the metro is very reasonably priced, especially if you get a silver card and keep it topped up.

Being a popular destination in itself, Dubai may also be said to be a transit point for tourists visiting other countries. This was our case, we stayed for four days at the Comfort Inn in Dubai in late February 2014 on our way to Sri Lanka. It is noteworthy that the rooms here offer facilities for laundering and ironing one's clothes as well as for one's own cooking. All facilities are there, with absolutely everything in the kitchen. The suite is spacious, clean and tastefully arranged. We didn't use it but the receptionist said the hotel even had its own supermarket.
Breakfast was good and various, the staff friendly. In contrast to other Dubai hotels nearby, already visited by us, here we were at rest during the day, nobody woke us up early to ask us when we want the room cleaned etc., and cleaning itself was always done when we were away. Only gripe: the double bed was a little too small. The location of the hotel is very good, it is just a 10-minute walk to the Dubai Internet City metro station; there are nice beaches some 10-15 minutes away by taxi. The area is full of cafes and restaurants but be warned: in most places prices are rather high, especially if you want to have a couple of beers or whiskey etc.
Offering so many things and being comfortable and clean, Comfort Inn is good value for money. In summary, we liked this hotel a lot and it will surely be the first on our list if another visit to Dubai appears on the horizon.

Housekeeping at this Hotel was one of the worst Ive come across in a long while.
On our first full day we arrived back at 6 in the evening to find the apartment as we left it . I had to ring reception 3 times and eventually I had to go to reception to complain before room was made up. approx 7.30 that evening.
The following day we arranged a late check out for which we were charged a half day rate for 6 additional hours. Again the room was not made up at all and towels for example were not replaced.

Room Tip: Try another hotel

Stayed in apartment 201. The room was very good. Huge, spacious, and good furniture. The kitchen was also adequate with all the facilities. Had two toilets, one bathroom. The breakfast is hot breakfast with a variety of things. The breakfast is served on near the swimming pool which gives a great vibe.

There is a kids play area also, indoor swimming pool, and a Jacuzzi too. The room service is also 24/7 and very good food for its price.

There is Blue Mart just downstairs which makes it very convenient to get the daily grocery and utilities.

The hotel is near to the metro station, Internet city metro station. 5-8 min walk from the hotel. The staff is very friendly also, and can call you a taxi as well if you ask them.

2 Stops of metro takes you to the Mall of Emirates.

Definitely a recommendation, if you have business in and around the Media/ Internet city, Tecom.

Room Tip: got the room on the second floor. it was good. The rooms on the top floor have better view.
