The hotel is located quite close to the airport (DXB) and planes regularly pass by, which makes quite a noise even at late hours. It is around 20 minutes drive from Burj Khalifa and 30 minutes from the marina, just to know. The interior is ok, decoration is nice, room facilities are electrically controlled, rendering it a great modern environment. Just stayed one night, but on average it is worth choosing this hotel in Dubai if you don't mind using taxi for travelling around.

Although this is a new hotel and has nice interior etc, there was no hot water in our room for the entirity of our stay (3 days), the lights which are computer operated kept turning on in the middle of the night when we were asleep which was most annoying and we also didn't find the overall service very good.

It is also quite a way out from key landmarks/tourist places so although its not very expensive, we paid a load in cab fairs.

The porter outside also tried to rip us off which was disgusting. We said we wanted a taxi to take us to the diamond and gold park, he went over and spoke to what looked to be a friend of his, they came back and quoted us 160, a kind legitamate taxi driver overheard this conversation and told us he was trying to rip us off. We ended up going with the legitamate taxi which ended up costing us 60 in comparison!! They should fire the porter, what a scam artist!!!

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better in this hotel as the hotels as shaped in a U and there is a massive...

The Hues Boutique Hotel is a lovely clean comfortable city hotel. We stayed from 4th Sept 2013 until 8th September 2013. The rooms are spacious clean and very modern. we only had breakfast at the hotel, but although some of the food offerings were a little unusual, it was good fresh, tasty food. The staff were very nice, polite and friendly. Alcoholic drinks, as you would probably expect are expensive, but not too expensive that you cannot treat yourself to a beer or a glass of wine in your room or in the bar upstairs after a long day trawling around either the Dubai or Emirates Malls or around the city sightseeing. I believe September is one of the hottest months (43-45 degrees) to visit Dubai, so probably would visit again between November-March. The Hues Boutique hotel is situated in a good location, and approx 15 mins walk from the hotel is the metro, which is good value for money, and well air conditioned. We went to the mall where the fountain outside dances to music and is lit up at night, which we watched whilst dining at the Madeleine (french cuisine) restaurant, a place which delivered lovely food in a very nice atmosphere, with extremely professional, friendly and obliging staff. enjoy if you get a chance to visit.

We stayed in this hotel over the Christmas holidays during our 4 day transit in Dubai in 2013. I generally choose my personal stays at little boutique hotels and as it was the end of our European vacation I thought I'd find something special.

The hotel is not in your common Dubai area, but we're seasoned travelers, so I don't really mind. Upon arrival the hotel looked impressive enough, with a dramatic enough interior and welcoming lobby. Staff seemed friendly and was quite helpful.

We were led to our room and we were in a premium room on the 4th floor overlooking the to be constructed Palm Deira. All was good... so we thought...

Breakfast was included, which was the only thing good about it. After a week at the Crowne Plaza in The Hague, we may be spoiled, but this breakfast was really poor. Soggy hashbrowns, bad eggs, the list goes on.

We went out for most of the day and came back to the hotel at about 10pm. That's where the real trouble started. Travelling with a 1-year old in tow is never easy, so you all you want is a quiet room and put your baby in bed. WRONG! Upon arrival there was a loud disco thump coming from our ceiling, I went to investigate that there was a roof bar party going on the 5th floor.

Reception said it would stop. But it took 3 hours and numerous phone calls for it to subdue. No apologies, not anything. Only to find out that there would be a pool party (on the roof) the next night.

We couldn't move out, as the room had been prepaid.

For the first time on our trip we were happy to check out from a hotel and happy to get on a plane.

Do not book this hotel if you are with a family or looking for a good sleep. Book it is you want to party and drunk with the locals, because that's what this establishment is about, it offers alcohol to rich locals something they can't get in other public places.

I sent a letter to management upon my return, suggesting a refund, but none was offered (they said that Agoda does not refund, which a plain lie). Only a complementary night upon my return. A joke to say the least, a 10-meter pole wouldn't be long enough.

If you think I'm a troll, read my other reviews and ones coming up from the Rendezvous in Melbourne and the Pan Pacific in Perth.

Room Tip: If you do have to stay here, choose a premium room. Bare in mind that there is a night club on the g...

I have to say that this hotel is always making sure that the customer is taken care of. This is the only place I stay in Dubai. The only issue that I had was its new so the taxis don't know where it is. But I know the area so no longer an issue. The hotel is very clean the staff is professional and polite. Everyone is always smiling. The rooms are priced in my eyes but don't change that please. I have recommended this hotel to many of my co-workers and friends since we all travel through Dubai so often. I have not heard complaints.
Thank you Hues for setting the standard.
