I stayed here for my wedding in February. We had the actual wedding party in the hotel. The staff did a superb job in accommodating for all our wishes and needs with regards to the wedding. We had 90 people in the Marco Pierre White restaurant where we were treated to the best of food, wine and service. It can easily be a challenge to cater for so many people, but the kitchen and the staff did an impressive job to the height of everyone's satisfaction. And the venue itself was very stylish and elegant. An absolute treat through an through. Afterwards we had the wedding party with cakes, drinks and dance in the bar next door. Again, this was a great venue for this kind of an event. Everyone felt comfortable there and had a brilliant party. We couldn't have asked for anything better.
The hotel is beautifully designed. Having a few drinks at the roof top bar in the evening overlooking the Burj Khalifa is an experience in itself. The spa section is very inviting and pleasant both in terms of the design and the menu they offer. I had a wonderfully relaxing message, got my nails perfectly done and also had a really good experience with the hair salon there that did the hair for my wedding. It was very easy and pleasant to work with them.
The room we had was really comfortable, stylish, spacious, and with great facilities. I loved the bathroom with separate shower and bath tub. It was gorgeously designed with clean, minimal features and a spacious bath tub. Almost like a spa experience in itself. We loved it!
We had great service from start to finish. Everyone from the food and beverage manager to chef, room service, waiting staff, reception staff, and the general staff were all so friendly and helpful. Arranging your wedding in another country than where you live is challenging in itself, but the staff made everything so much easier for us. We and all of our guests had a wonderful and unforgettable time at the Melia Dubai. It turned out to be better than anything we could have dreamt of. I really recommend you to try it out!

The rooms are fantastic. There's no questioning that. They're big, airy, nicely designed and well laid out.

What lets the hotel down is the service on the reception which was a little unfriendly and the fact that there's a very loud nightclub which plays music until 3 am everyday. When we requested to move from a lower floor near the nightclub it was dealt with straight away.

Location is a bit off too. It costs about £10 to get to the Jumeirah beach area of Dubai when traffic is heavy - although its very handy for the airport. Better for business than leisure, but if you can get a decent rate its seriously worth considering despite its foibles.

I stayed here during a 2 day business trip and was very impressed. The reception very nicely designed and staff is friendly, helpful and always has a smile when helping you. I got upgraded to a fabulous room, so not sure what a standard double bed room looks like, but i expect it to be as great. Very cool build-in tv which doubles as a mirror. Free nespresso cups were a great extra ( part of the upgrade i think).

Breakfast was divers and good, nice gym with a view of burj khalifa and a stunning pool (didnt try) and view. Internet was freely available (as it should be) and there are a few reastaurants as well. The sushi place i tried was nice, cool seats. However not a lot of sushi on the menu for a place with sushi in its name.

Location was good for me as my meetings were closeby. However one issue i had was to get a regular taxi (from the basement) in the morning. It took about 30 min before the staff managed to organise one. It seems that there are not a lot around in the area, especially morning.

One of the evenings i did hear music/bass in the evening which i assume was from a bar or club. It wasnt loud at all and didnt disturb me, but I was on the 4th floor so this mustve been louder closer to the club.

Definitely recommend this hotel!

Poor location for if you need a taxi from hotel you have to go hunting for one . The hotel is very nice interior with excellent facilities and the wifi free through out the hotel is a hit, The rooftop pool is great with a view of downtown Dubai really nice both at night and day . The staff are really friendly and polite also very efficient in there duties. Areas to see are the Dubai creek which is about a 10 min walk from hotel . If you just want to relax and don't fancy the hassle of Dubai attractions then this is the place to be in with excellent restaurants and bars all at reasonable prices . Will definitely Come Back to the to this hotel and area again

We really enjoyed our stay at the Melia. As regular visitors to Dubai, it does lack the feeling of being in the action, and as we experience from day one, not many taxi drivers know where it is! The reception can give you a small map to show them when you go out and about!

The rooms were really nicely decorated and probably had the nicest bathrooms of any hotel I have ever stayed! Very luxurious. The beds were super comfortable and this made for an enjoyable stay.

The pool is on the roof which is great for picking up that breeze. The drive out of town you made earlier pays you back when you see the back drop of the city from the pool!

There is a continuous bar service and you can get food at any time. The lobby area has really comfortable sofa's - perfect for a late afternoon coffee.

The hotel can arrange transport anywhere and there is a free shuttle to the beach.

Overall, we really enjoyed staying here, however, there was a feeling of being a long way from the city (only 10 mins taxi but felt longer) and that might make me not consider staying again. However, you get a great stay if you do so dont let that put you off!

An excellent hotel with some very good facilities and staff service. However this is significantly let down by the on premise nightclub located on the ground floor. Our 3 night stay began on floor 2 and from 10pm our room was filled with very loud bass music from the club that was impossible to ignore. Having spoken to reception we were promptly moved to an alternative room located on the top floor (7th floor) called 'The Level' and initially welcomed both the room upgrade and the increased distance from the nightclub below. This was somewhat short lived as the booming bass from the club was still very prevalent, and continued every night of our stay Mon - Wed until 3am.Earplugs were still required to have any chance of a good nights sleep. One evening we saw two coaches arrive at hotel @ about 11pm filled with people for the night club so this is clearly seen as an important part of the hotels business but most certainly at the expense of this being an acceptable 5*. Would not consider this hotel again until either the nightclub is closed or significantly improved soundproofing installed across the building.

Melia Dubai is very nice and modern five star hotel. It gives you a great value with reasonable price for luxury hotel in Dubai. Room was very nice and clean and aircondition works allmost too well so we had to adjust it warmer, the decoration of the room was also very modern. We had family vacation (2 adults and 1 child 11years) and had Melia room. We booked the room for two persons and thought that out daughter can sleep in our bed but we get a nice suprice though they gave us extra bed for free. There was a stylish rooftop pool where you can also order from the roomservice. Cold Corona tastes wonderfull in the sun. ;) The location is OK, but there is 800m walk to the nearest Metrostation so it's easiest first to get a Taxi (2€/10AED) to the metro and after that continue with metro to all the Dubai's fabulous destinations. Staff at the hotell was very kind and helpfull, there wasn't any problem that they couldn't solve. Breakfast was very good but quite expencive (app. 20€/adult and 10€/child). HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!
