“Like a rollercoaster”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

You like the desert? You don't fear speed, heights or adrenaline? Ask your travel agent or your Hotel for a desert safari in the Hatta Desert. Awesome views, thrilling moments, a lot of sand and heat included. This time we went with only one car (not in a group). Our driver (sorry guys, you can't drive by yourself - these people driving the jeeps on the dunes own special drivers licenses for doing this - and believe me, even if you think to, we never have enough experience to drive AND control a car on a dune like that!). So fasten your seatbelts and let's go. Don't forget the take enough to drink with you. If you get feeling sick on a rollercoaster - well, can happen here too. So don't hestitate to ask the driver for a small break on the track.

“The fakest thing ever”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

The only nice part of the tour was the Land Cruiser desert riding. The rest was just a show put up for tourists. They brought us to a "fake" nomad camp in the desert to have a "fake" Arab dinner and see a "fake" belly dancer. All to an extremely high price.

“Strap your seat belts on”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

We booked 110 dhs per person tour for Deseret Safari including buffet and belly dance show back in 2011, It's an off road 4wd .. It's thrilling and one of its kind experience. As you get to the designated camp site you will get to have free food ( food price is included in the package btw ) . There are stalls For sheesha and knick knacks that you have to pay for . The belly dance is impressive but the dancers are usually mature ladies so don't expect a hot chick . Food is yummy a wide variety of buffet to choose from . You can rent a scooter to driver around too . We were 8 persons in the 4 wheelers and the seat belts were mostly non functional .. The driver was really rough in the desert as he wanted to thrill us but ended up annoying me as I was bouncing in the car and bumped my head multiple times . It can be life threatening as the drive is really rough . So make sure that seat belts are all in place and working .
