“The Pits”
Reviewed 17 March 2013

Don't go, this would have to be the worst tour I have ever experienced. No commentary, just sailing around the creek. Now we will get to the food - in a word "TERRIBLE", Chinese style package noodles, spaghetti with a tomato sauce, a fish concoction, boiler rice and not much else, starters and desert were not much better. Then you have the service staff give you a run down on the wine, we were going to opt for the premium until we were advised it was Jacobs Creek at about AU$50 a bottle, needless to say we passed on this. Maybe there are good Dhow cruises but Sinbad's is definitely not one of them.

“My Dhow Cruise Experience”
Reviewed 17 February 2013

Last month I had been to Dubai during it's Shopping Festival along with my wife. This was under a Package tour organized by makemytrip.com. As per the package, the coach picked us from our Hotel Fortune Boutique at around 7.00 pm. Our cruise name was Palm Ocean. By the time we arrived it was almost 80% full. Somehow we could get seats near the open window. Had lot of video and pic opportunity. Only problem was that being at the upper deck, it was chilling windy. The lower closed area was totally filled by tourists. The cruise ride was extremely delightful. The tall illuminated towers on the banks were giving a magical feeling. There was a magic show by an Indian. That was okay for kids. Being near to the dinner table was an advantage. They served both veg and non-veg food. I was later told that foods are brought there from some hotel. Being early I found the food was hot but absolutely had bland taste. Items were mostly Indian but I was surprised why it tasted so. I had to manage with high calorie Gulab Jamuns and pastries. Even my fellow travelers felt that way about food. The people who were last to reach the food buffet found that it was already cold due to chilly wind. Manager was apologetic but explained that could not do anything as there was no heating provision in the cruise.
Total sailing time was 2 hours.

We visited the Dubai creek on our Dubai visit. We enjoyed the journey on the dhow in the night time. The city looked beautiful from the creek in all the lights. The dhow looks very safe. enjoyed the ride, the food was good, the staff onboard were very sincere. It is a must see attraction in any visit to Dubai.

“Creek cruise”
Reviewed 22 September 2012

Night cruise on the creek, cruised on the world's biggest wooden floating resturant. Cruise starts at 8.30pm and ends at around 11 pm.Dinner on board starts at 9.00pm.Boat is berthed opposite the British Consulate.Enjoyed the egyptian and horse dance and the free henna painting. Dinner supplied by a 5 star hotel, not very impressive. Boat journey, one can enjoy both sides of the modern city. will see the small water taxis(small wooden dhows) cruising along the creek. Tour is a bit pricey at US 64 per person.! Comercialised. Ask for a table by the windows to enjoy the night. Can walk up to the open deck to enjoy the breeze as the boat glides through the creek.
