“Great stay in Dubai”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2013

This is a really nice hotel, the staff are all very helpful and can not do enough for you,we had a deluxe room at the back of the hotel which was very large and quite, every part of the hotel is well
Maintained and as a five star hotel should. Be,did not use the spa so can not comment.the buffet
Breakfast was excellent with a very wide selection.
Only negative it is a good distance from all the malls.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are large and quiet.

We have just recently returned back from the Le Royal Meridien and Spa hotel in Dubai , and once again they have produced the goods. Exceeding expectations and continuing with their excellent quality and customer service. My wife and I have been staying at this hotel regularly now for over 17 years and have seen all the Dubal changes. The hotel offers first class 5 star service and excellent all round facilities from Great Dining experiences to relaxation.Weather its a holiday or even as a short stopover as we also use it . The hotel is wonderful 5 star luxury and the staff cant do enough for you,Nothing is too much , you only havto ask. if you want something special or different .. There's a great choice of dining on offer with quality that i dont think you can beat . Eating in Gary Rhodes restaurant is a must , the food was truuely out of this world , well deserving of the 5 stars . As well as that there are other excellent restaurants and buffet on offer .Upgrading to the Royal Tower including the Exclusive Club facilities is well worth thinking about as it offers that little bit more excluivity and treats ,such as a great selection of drinks and snacks(hot and cold) at afternoon tea time , soft drinks all day and added to that alcohol during cocktail hours at night. Round the pool areas you are spoilt with ice cold flannels , iced water sprays and little slush drinks as refreshers . Nice cllean pools with good quality food and drink on offer at the dining area , then relaxing on good quality sun loungers . If you wish to venture out there are courtessy buses to the shopping malls or Gold Suks to obtain a bargain. There is aslo a new Metro system that is very easy to use .The hotel has a great team of staff Managed by Pam Wilby (GM) and Mark Kilby, and they have got it right. Good management shows through good staff and their possotive and caring friendly service throughout.Tip allways check Ramadam dates as this effects some services in the hotels and public areas .A Holiday Experince we feel is the best .Nal and V. ps next trip this June

Room Tip: Sea view rooms and perhaps pay the upgrade to the Royal Tower. Suites are very spacious also

After the warned of "sorry we don't have your reservation" after traveling for 24 hours to get there, I was able to produce proof. Stay in the tower. The club rooms are small. The view from the tower is fabulous. Room keys often don't work. Call downstairs on your cell...have the number handy. Breakfast buffet fabulous. "The Walk" is right around the corner and fun at night. The staff is in cahoots with the cab drivers. Most are not natives and rude. Do not go to the Atlantis unless you have a scheduled cab pickup when coming back. The metro drops you off in the middle of nowhere and they are con cab drivers who charge a fortune. If you do get stuck there, walk out to the highway, hail a cab and negotiate your fee. Awful experience. Shisha lounge at LRM is very nice and a fun experience. Pricey, but fun. Thi would get five stars if the cab experience were better. BRING CURRENCY WITH YOU OR HAVE A CARD THAT DOES NOT CHARGE TRANSACTION FEES. We were whacked. AmEx checks don't help.

Room Tip: Stay in the tower. Get a room facing the water. The higher the better.

We stayed in the Hotel over Easter and, seriously either we are to spoiled or after all the positive reviews our expectations just been too high.
First of all, we stayed in the Tower Room (which supposed the best part of the Hotel) , with Sea view which was nice but as rooms not cheap the Bathrooms are far too small no space (I stayed a few days later in the Westin, much bigger and nicer Bathrooms) and our room was somehow dump. Twice our Hotel room was not cleaned by 2pm!!
Just a sorry, again I had once the same problem a few days later in the Westin they came with Flowers and Bottle Wine to apologise.Further there was a Musical Festival next Door, with loud Music until 1am, would have been nice to be Informed about this prior the Booking!
The Breakfast in the Club was ok but not the choice like downstairs so we went a few times downstairs for the Main Breakfast, what a shocker so crowded over run like there is no food tomorrow and people dress for a Camping trip. Seriously a Hotel that Class / Price you would expect People dress a bit nicer if they go in a Restaurant even it’s only for Breaky! In case I return, a Football Jersey and Flip Flops will be enough or you might be overdressed. On a positive note, compliment to the staff they managed to cope well with so many people.
Beach, if you not reserved your towel on a Bench by 10 you might have to share a Bench with your Partner. The beach /swimming pools are to overrun as obv. Hotel Guest from the Chain can join, but this system takes away the privacy/exclusivity away and frankly I expect a bench and an Umbrella whatever time I turn up at the Beach for that what they asking.
Further, I booked a few Restaurants in advance via their Concierge, normally I am used at arrival to get these confirmations in an envelope or them already in my room, not here I had to chase. Then we wanted to change a Time for a booking, so I went downstairs with the request... again I had to chase if it was possible to change it, after a while I find an envelope on the Floor, where the old time was crossed out and the new time just been written over, in Handwriting no further not, again i.e. Park Hyatt will write a note and say Dear Mr…. we pleased to inform your booking was changed to the following time etc... If you require transport please let us know… Very Disappointing! Same I was asking about the Ferrari World opening times, for Easter Monday the reply was they closed so I went to the Business centre to double check, and it was not closed on this Monday so really that is just simply good enough, so I went back to the Concierge told him about what I found out, he couldn’t be bothered much, so I asked for more information and wanted that to delivered to my room. Finally I found again an envelope after I opened it what do I find an Internet print out with the opening times, hello!!!! Simply not good enough any concierge in another 5 Star Hotel would had his last day.
One of the Receptionist in the Tower hardly spoke English and told me a few things which I found out later are been utter rubbish and I really didn’t found in General the Hotel staff helpful and attentive.
The Fitness Centre is nicely equipped and nice, that’s good part.
So cut a long story short, not for me nothing special and I don’t get the Hype. Will not return.

Room Tip: go to westin

we had a fantastic stay in a club room on the 8th floor, the service was excellent, the grounds were beautiful and well kept and it was not overcrowded. The food we received with our package was excellent and we didn't get bored of eating it after 6 days. This is an amazing place to stay and 5 minutes walking distance from a strip of shops and restaurants and a 5 min cab drive from dubai marine which is out of this world. If you have any questions about dubai/ this hotel feel free to message me.

Room Tip: upgraded to club/tower, its worth it

Have stayed here a number of times over the years and thought i should write e review. Not a great deal to say as everything at this hotel is perfect. Lovely position, beautiful rooms, great staff, wonderful gardens and outside space, and excellent Restaurants. Shuttle buses take you to shopping malls and The Grosvenor Hotel if you fancy going out and taxis are cheap if you want to go to the gold or spice souks or other sights you may want to visit. Yes Restaurants can be on the expensive side (as are alcoholic drinks) but the fabulous service you receive everywhere makes up for it. A perfect hotel for families of all ages and couples. Can not wait to return.

Staying in an deluxe suite was immediately an advantage - we had personal room service and a complimentary breakfast buffet that was gorgeous food. The beach was heavenly, sand is like soft white sugar, and camel rides avaialable all day! The entire hotel and grounds are peaceful - no noise whatsoever from bars, restaurants, outside roads etc.. There was also a 'trolley car' that could take you to wherever you need to go within the grounds, so no need to walk! I have stayed in three hotels in Dubai (including Jumeirah Beach and Grand Hyatt) and this is the best.

Room Tip: with all hotels in Dubai it all depends on what you are prepared to pay and your maximum budget. I s...
