“FANTASTIC holiday!”
Reviewed 31 July 2008

We booked this hotel following reading the numerous reviews and we were certainly not disappointed. We had a fantastic holiday. Booked Club Sea View room, and when we arrived (greeted with ice cold fresh orange juice, cold towels and a plate of dates) the Club receptionist asked if there was any special occasion. We had come for my girlfriend's birthday, and after checking her passport, we were immediately upgraded to a FANTASTIC Tower Room! Booking Club is highly recommended - you get FREE soft drinks (handy when temperatures are in the 40's!) ALL day, and they have a Happy Hour from 6.30pm til 8.30pm where ALL alcoholic drinks are free, and delicious canapes are also provided. There is plenty of choice when it comes to food - Fusion is a must, with fantastic staff and food. The Brasserie (which is free if you are Half Board) is average if you don't mind buffet food, but nonetheless seemed very popular. Staff are outstandingly attentive and courteous (especially Normandy in Fusion)- makes you feel like a celebrity! I was a bit unwell on the second night (stomach doesn't travel well!) and they went out to the pharmacy for me and brought some meds up to the room, then the Guest Services Manager rang me twice over the next few days to make sure I was OK! My girlfriend got a cake for her birthday, and when we came back to the room in the evening they had spelled out her name in rose petals on the bed!!! The room was outstanding, cleaned to an exceptional standard and the bed was turned down every night, with chocolates. Fresh fruit, canapes and plenty of water were also provided. The hotel grounds were immaculate, the pools and beaches were extremely clean, there are staff coming around the sunbeds regularly asking you for drinks orders, and giving you ice cold towels, fruit slushes and water spray to keep you cool! They even put your sunbed in position for you and put your towel on it! By the way, clean beach towels are provided so no need to take your own! The pools are refridgerated, which is incredibly refreshing in the heat. Overall, an absolutely wonderful holiday and well worth every penny. We will certainly return next year!

An absolutely delightful experience staying at this hotel. Top notch facilties and service, coupled with what is simply the best service we have ever experienced!!

Apparently (well, according to one of the waiters there!) it has won awards for the best service in the whole of the UAE for 3 yrs running!!

We are a family of four who spent 3 nights in Dubai after spending 2 weeks in Greece. I booked the hotel after reading Tripadvisor reviews. My family congratulated me on one of the best hotels we have ever been privileged to stay. We had 2 interleading standard rooms and booked halfboard. The rooms were absolutely fine with wonderful views and blissful extras. The meals were simply amazing. Dinner complete with live music. Breakfast was so vast, no lunch was needed. The grounds and pools and service were all as excellent as promised. We will definately go back and recommend the Hotel as superb value for money.

Arrived at the Hotel after a night flight feeling a bit worn, when arrived at the reception knew the hotel was going to be nice. Beautiful Interior and Lobby area, and as we had booked a club room, we were taken immediately to the club room check in area.
Once in the club building we were given a welcome fresh juice and cold towels and the check in was faultless. After reading some reviews I thought myself and partner would have to wait a few hours as it was 7.30am and official check in was 2pm.
However a few moments later we were advised that Eddy the Butler would escort us to our club room. Wonderful.
The room is spacious and everything you could wish for from a hotel stay in Dubai. We did have landside rooms but heard no disturbance and it was interesting to watch the emergence of New Dubai from the window. Fresh fruit every day, Room was spotless and kept the same throughout the stay, and plenty of water bottles left in the room every day.
The Club lounge is a real bonus,Breakfast available in 3 restaurants inc Continental breakfast in the lounge, full breakfast(great choice) in Club restaurant downstairs and main building......afternoon tea and Alcoholic drinks and canapes(very substantial and tasty)from 18.30pm to 20.30pm every day inclusive, and considering the cost of alcohol in Dubai it is worth the extra in my opinion. .The staff are polite, conscientious and remembered what drinks we were having, Daquiris were lovely.
The beach is fantastic and well kept grounds mean the Royal meridien is a lovely hotel to stay in, Courteous staff and beautiful surroundings made for a great holiday. We will be returning very soon.

We returned to this hotel for the sixth time in 4 years and previously have stayed at virtually every hotel on Jumeirah beach since 1995!
The REASON- this hotel has that X factor which is predominantly due to the very high standard of customer care!!
The whole experience from start to finish is truly 5 star.

Yes the decor of the rooms could be updated but this factor pales into insignificance- given the TOTAL experience. If you want truly luxurious rooms, try the Jumeirah Beach Hotel or the newly opened Westin hotel but you will not get that experience that that the Le Royal Meridien offers!!

Staying in the club seaview room and experiencing all the club facilities with its outstanding staff , took the experience to another level. The staff, the spa & gym facilities, the pools, the La Fornace restaurant, the 'open' grounds leading to the beach- are to name but a few of the hotel's jewels in the crown!!!!

Will be returning again soon!

PS- Our thanks to Jagdish Shetty- Asst. Guest Relations Manager who made our stay memorable yet again !!!!

Ash.

Stayed here mid July 08 on a romantic break.

Had a problem checking in - the travel agent booked another hotel instead (www.alpharooms.com - not in a hurry to use again!). Although no fault of hotel they apologised, offered coffee until sorted.

Got an upgrade to a Tower room with butler and also half board in the private dining room. Breakfast in tower restaurant is excellent.

Staff couldn't be better - pleasent, cheerful and very helpful, in particular Normandy.

Various restaurants are excellent, although pricey. Mexican (Maya) and Thai (Fusion) in particular.

July isn't best time to visit - 45 degrees and 50% humidity.

Will return soon. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and was superb
