“Fantastic Holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

We have just returned from the Ritz Carlton and I have to say we will definitely be returning. The hotel is excellent and the location is superb. We travelled with our daughter who is 7 and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The only negative thing we could possibly comment on was the fact that one of the pools with the childrens slides was closed. We took advantage of the Club Level which we thought was great, all the food was excellent - well worth the extra. As for the staff, they were all brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. We all felt totally spoilt. The room was beautiful, and my daughter loved bath with the plasma TV.

Room Tip: Definitely Club Level

Saw mixed reviews after booking but needn't have worried, we had the best week.
Beautiful rooms in new wing, outstanding club lounge, amazing staff, 3 pools, a big general pool, a children's pool and even an adults only pool which was superb. Not the flashiest, glitziest hotel in Dubai but high quality and everything we wanted and more. The team working there really are top notch and do everything they can to ensure you have a brilliant holiday. Sad to be home and saving up already! The icing on the cake for us was the club lounge so always somewhere relaxing to go, left feeling we had made new friends, not just other gusts but also the loveliest people who work there.

Room Tip: Club was worth it.

There was nothing that I could find fault with while my family and I stayed here. We mainly stayed here as we didn't want to get under the feet of my cousins and their families while we visited.
The rooms were beautiful, the location was great and the staff were friendly. I wouldn't mind staying here again as I had no problems here I didn't really spend a lot of time at the hotel or looking around it as I was there to see family.

From the smooth and friendly welcome to the attentive staff in the club lounge, this is a very good hotel. The rooms are very well designed and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping kept our room immaculate. The food was always satisfying and well portioned. Excellent location.....Will definately return.

Stayed here for a few days over Easter. Overall, very little to fault.

Check-in was not great, perhaps the only let down of the trip. as we were arriving late (1am) with 2 small kids, i was in touch with the hotel A LOT ahead of our stay to ensure this would go smoothly. it didn't. i won't bore you with details, but they apologised and we all moved on.

Rooms themselves were very nice - good size bedroom, great big bathroom, nice tub, tons of towels, Asprey amenities. nigh on perfect. All the room have balconies. ours was a little tucked away though, so the view wasn't as nice as it might be. not that big a deal in the end. we stayed in Club room - as always, its worth the extra. we had breakfast and dinner in the club restaurant nearly every night (easier with the kids) and it was fine. we were only there for 4 nights, prob longer than that you might want a change of scenery.

pools were very nice. 2 kid friendly ones. one big pool, then one swim-up bar for the grown ups. grounds on the whole were excellent. tons of space, lots of sun loungers (though for sure, there were people 'reserving' them early).

staff were very friendly indeed, particularly the waiting/room service/door staff. i found one of the front office managers a bit abrasive/defensive. a case of listen to what i am saying, not what you want to hear. but overall, very pleasant. had a Friday brunch in the Italian restaurant (Friday is their Saturday). it was absolutely outstanding. Food choice, quality, staff, drinks, table - one of the best meals i've had anywhere. they couldn't do enough for you. i wish i could remember the name of the lovely Bulgarian hostess.

location is good, fairly close to everything. in Dubai you have to get cabs almost everywhere anyway. But i'd certainly take Jumeriah over other locations - seemed relatively closer to a lot more attractions. the only touristy thing in Downtown is the tower and the shopping centre underneath it.

in short i won't have to think about where i will stay on my next trip. highly recommended.

Dubai offers so many outstanding hotels, it is hard to chose one. We wanted a beach front and opted for a quiet area with this Ritz-Carlton. This property was well maintained, but not a super luxury destination. The rooms were nicer than the common areas - both were very well appointed and in line with the Ritz brand. Overall, I think Dubai probably could deliver a more spectacular hotel for its Ritz Carlton, but that is probably based on the other properties that outshine more than this one lacking in anything.

We enjoyed the excursions around the Ritz, seeing the architectural feats, the Ski Dubai experience including holding a penguin, the dolphin swim at the Atlantis Dubai and particularly loved the 4x4 desert jeep adventure- don't miss that one!

Room Tip: Ask for a water view room - we saw camels walking on the beach!

Fab locatiion for a quick city trip. If you know dubai well and are not looking to relax this is the best hotel to stay at. the staff is very proper the service is never disappointing. However if you want a relaxing trip and do not know dubai, I am not sure this would be the most ideal location.
