“Amazing & Beautiful”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

We stayed here for a whole week during the 2nd week of May. Being a 5 star hotel it was well worth the price we paid. Dubai Marine Resort and Spa had everything we needed from a beautiful view from the sunbeds of the beach to the night life. it has about 3 restaurants/nightclubs and 3 full on nightclubs. at night everyone would come to the resort so we saw plenty outsiders and made a lot of friends. It has 2 nice size swimming pools plus a kids pool/play area. this place is amazing for families and friends and couples.. everyone would love it here. I recommend taking the bus to the far places such as gold souk and Dubai marina mall. from their you should take the metro as it is faster and you get to see more of Dubai then you would with a taxi.

The customer service was awesome. the pillows were amazing.. the bed was nice and soft. if you ring number 2.. they will send over their own golf caddy.

We stayed here in February and were really pleased we had chosen this location as it combines both a beach break and a city break. Taxis, in comparison to a lot of other things in Dubai are quite cheap and we used them to get to the Dubai Marina and to and from the Dubai Mall to go up the tower. We also used the hotel car to pick us up from the airport. It was great to do sightseeing in the morning and come back to chill round the pool later in the afternoon. Quite surreal to look towards the beach and sea and then to turn around and look at the cityscape. We upgraded our room on arrival and it was huge! Quality Elemis toiletries in the bathroom, replaced daily and spotlessly clean. We ate in the Italian, the fish restaurant and the Mexican at the hotel, all were very good but I think the Mexican was my favourite with a good atmosphere at the weekend. Buffet breakfast was great with a lot of options. All staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the beach bar in the evening, bar staff very friendly and as the late February evenings were quite chilly, we very much appreciated the blankets that were offered. I would definitely visit here again. One thing to note for iphone users, there was free wifi which worked fine, but could not use facetime.

Booked this hotel, (room only) because we didn't want to be in the city, preferring a place close to the beach. We chose this area on the coast because there is major construction going on further down Jumierah beach.
We planned to do our sightseeing on the tourist buses which easily accommodate a wheelchair or scooter via a ramp and the nearest bus stop is almost in front of the hotel on the main road. The kerbs don't have good access onto the road and they are usually very high.

First impressions, good. We got a taxi from the airport (which easily fit my battery scooter in the back). The hotel entrance is well staffed and we were helped out of the car. The access into the hotel is easy via a ramp straight up to the reception area…however, the room we were given was on the second floor up a flight of steps, despite us having requested a disabled room.
It was a little confusing at first because the lift at reception only goes to the spa and the shop, the hotel rooms aren't in the same building as reception and there are NO lifts to the upper floors on the complex.
When I pointed out to the receptionist that we couldn't access the room because we couldn't lift the heavy scooter up and down a flight of stairs he said that we could upgrade to a ground floor suite with an outside terrace, he asked for the equivalent of £200 for the pleasure..!
I stood my ground, I had specially asked for an accessible room and didn't expect to pay extra just to be able to get into it..!
In the end we were 'upgraded' to a suite we could get into on the ground floor but that still involved putting a wooden ramp over the steps at the entrance for the duration of our stay.
This, in the end, was perfectly adequate but a fair bit of messing about trying to get it organised in the first place.
We're not fussy types and are more than happy to stay on any floor of any hotel as long as we can get into the room without having a coronary…!
The suite was fantastic, loads of space. I charged my scooter overnight in the lounge.
The patio was interesting…accessible by a little step over the patio door which I managed easily. We were desperate to sit outside in the sun and relax but there was just a covered hot spar and no seating. We ended up taking the dining chairs outside, it seemed ludicrous to have to do that but most of the patios looked the same.
It would have been lovely to take a coffee outside and just chill but there was no table either.
It wasn't particularly private, there were members of staffing walking by us on a regular basis… as if they didn't expect anyone to be sitting there.
The bed was huge, clean and extremely comfortable. The shower in the bath was a bit awkward to access, but the pressure was great. The toiletries were always kept well stocked.
We appreciated the free Wifi in the rooms, it was excellent. There was a kettle and a fridge and the staff kept the supplies very well stocked for hot drinks. We were given daily newspapers and fresh towels, the domestic staff were very good.
We didn't eat at the hotel but found a supermarket over the main road and bought salads and sandwiches as we were on a tight budget.
The areas around the hotel were easy to access but if we wanted to go to our room from reception we needed to go outside the hotel and take the side gate into the complex, no big deal but we needed a member of staff each time to open the gate via remote control.
The bars and pools were easy to get to. I drove my scooter across the grass in the evenings to sit on the seafront area near the bar, lovely. The only thing we found traumatic was the price of a beer…! All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: If you need the disabled loo while you are at reception, you will find it downstairs via the lift an...

This is the second time we have stayed at this resort (first being in 1999) and again we were not disappointed. Our room was exceptionally clean and lots of toiletries were provided and refreshed every day. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. We asked for skimmed milk in our room and they provided it free of charge (there is tea/coffee provided in room but with cream only). The surroundings are stunning and feels more like you are in the Caribbean but without the humidity! The swimming pools are very clean and we always managed to easily find sun beds, umbrella etc., with plenty of towels (we each had two towels per day for our sunbed). Having read other reviews, I do agree with some of the comments made. The resort is VERY expensive, expect to pay approx £4 for a coke and £10 for a glass of wine. There is a vast choice of lovely restaurants on site, Thai, Mexican, Lebanese, Cuban, Japanese, italian, french and more... We paid approx £60 per head in the Japanese restaurant. However, there are a lot of nice restaurants just outside the hotel (no alcohol ) such as TGI Fridays, Turkish Village etc. also a McDonald's, Subway, Starbucks if you want a cheaper lunch. There is a mosque directly opposite the hotel and you will probably hear the call to prayer quite a number of times throughout the day, yes, starting at around 5am! However, this did not bother us at all, and I feel adds to the authenticity of the culture you are in. Overall, we would return here for the beauty of the grounds, relaxed atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.

We are staying at another hotel nearby without a pool.
A days visit at their pool costs 125 AED for one adult and it includes full access to three pools, their private beach, sunbeds, sunshade, two towels. So very worth the money.

Bar prices are fair. Stella Artois beer is 45 AED. Only downside is that it is served in a plastic glass. Understandable but it kills the pleasure of a nice cold one in the sun.

Very nice place all in all. Highly recommended if you are staying nearby the Jumeira Public Beach.

one of the hidden away hotel in dubai, a city where staying in a sky highrise is a given norm , this low laying ground floor individual villa resort is a change if you want to feel like you are staying in your own private villa in dubai, dont expect a great view from the blacony or room as there isnt one, but what makes up for the view is the lush garden and the waterfall sound that surronds the resort, located within the resort are great restaurants and bars & nightclub so if you are lazy to venture out (which i rare in a city like dubai) .

overall a expensive experience but then its DUBAI ....everything about it is over the top
