“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2012

Stayed here between 6th July 2012 and 20th July 2012. Great rooms, spacious and clean. Good spot for sightseeing. Make use of the Metro!
Staff very polite and very helpful. Private beach that is well maintained. Pool is overshadowed by taller bulidings until around 10am but this helps you to stay cool.
There is a problem on one side of the Hotel in that you overlook a large building site as a new Tower complex is being built.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel that overlook the sea and car oark are quieter.

Good hotel. Rooms a bit tired, particularly bathroom. The staff were friendly and welcoming at all times. Breakfast good if booked as a package. Otherwise food and drink was expensive. Good pool and beach areas.

Our first impression of the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah wasn’t a great one, though they did manage to redeem themselves as far as we’re concerned. We checked in at around 6pm and took the lift up to the our room. When we opened the door and wandered in, the place looked like a bomb had hit it. There was junk everywhere. Couldn’t figure out whether Charlie Sheen had just checked out or was still lounging about the hotel somewhere, but either way something wasn’t right.

Coming off the back of a 2.30am wake up call followed by a 15 hour flight, this wasn’t the welcome we were looking for – we were craving a shower and maybe even a power nap. No dice.

We took the lift back down to reception to let them know what the situation was. We were hoping we wouldn’t have to wait around for the room to be cleaned – we wanted a new room. The Hilton did us one better and instantly upgraded us to an executive suite with an ocean view. Stoked!

We were so happy with our new room that we didn’t spend any time stewing or dwelling on being disgruntled and just got on with our holiday. Apart from that little mishap at the start, the Hilton Jumeirah was fantastic.

The executive suite is great, stunning views over the pool and onto the public beach and ocean. The bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom clean and elegant. Nice, big TV although we didn’t watch it and plenty of powerpoints. There’s a desk to help you get your work done if need be, and a few lounge chairs about the place also.

The buffet breakfast is phenomenal. Everything you’d expect plus an egg kitchen with two chefs who will serve you up any style of eggs you could imagine.

Internet is charged at 50AED for one hour or 100AED for 24 hours. The good news is once you’ve paid this you can tap into the net with as many devices as you like… we paid 100AED for 24 hours and were able to hook up both our laptops and both our iPhones which was great. Having said that, I hate paying for internet at places like this where you’ve paid good money for your room – and you do pay good money. We paid $567 for three nights in a walk-view room (and luckily ended up in a seaview which will run you $1097 for three nights). So many hotels are offering free wi-fi these days, though not the Hilton Dubai. By the way, the cost included transfers to and from DBX with Arabian Adventures.

Pool is a great place to take refuge from the 48-degree heat we experienced during our stay, though its not as cool and refreshing as you might have thought it would be – though I imagine it would be hard to keep the temp down given its an outdoor pool set out in the middle of the desert. The ocean is about 40 degrees too, so stick to the pool.

The staff are more than polite and friendly and are always keen to help you out. There’s a desk in the lobby where you can arrange all your tours etc, via an Arabian Adventures representative. AA are fantastic, by the way.

The hotel is obviously right next to the public beach and a short walk to some good restaurants. A 2 minute taxi ride to Dubai Marina Mall.

A shaky start, though on the whole I would definitely recommend the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah beach without hesitation.

I stayed at Hilton Jumeira seveal times. It's more like a business traveller's hotel than a hotel for fun nd pleasure.
All your choices are being recorded, so you can expect your "soft pelow" next time you visit ;)
Beach area is clean, rooms are clean and everywhere else you can image is perfectly clean.
Rooms are not so big, but equiped with whatever you might need, specifically high speed Internet (which is expensive BTW).
Location is good and you can go out for a walk in "The Walk".
There's a bar in the hotel but I didn't like it as it was not crowded.
I you have children, there's a playing ground for them in the hotel with observers taking care of your children.
A lot of restaurants are down "the walk" so you can enjoy them as well.

Just got back from the Hilton and my wife and i cant beleive the negative reviews its got the last cpl of weeks. This place is fabulous. We were up graded to the penthouse suite in the residence as we were on honeymoon, and wow it was amazing.Just so lovley and modern and on two floors. The staff are the best we have ever encounted anywhere we have ever stayed, just superb.Breakfast in the Hartisan room was also tremendous, the choice and quality were brilliant.Yes the drinks were pricey but that is par for the course in Dubai. We just cant see why anyone could moan about this hotel, but there again some people just cant be satisfied can they, even if they stayed in the Burj al arab i bet they would moan

As the title says, this is a really great hotel. The service is superb, rooms are great, the pool area and swim up bar are brilliant.
The location couldn't be better, 'the walk' has everything you need, restaurants, fast food, coffee shops etc. The metro station we used was jumeirah lakes towers, around 15 minute walk away.
As I said this hotel is great, the security seems to have been 'beefed up', it appears only hotel guests are permitted to use beach/pool facilities as we saw a few people told to leave by security.
The only down side to our stay wasn't the construction work next door (we hardly noticed it) it was the construction work about 1 or 2 floors below our room. It started in the morning and didnt cease until late afternoon. Drilling and hammering, quite loud aswell.
That would be the only reason i have given 4 stars instead of 5, especially given the fact that nobody warned us there was work inside the hotel.
