We have just returned from a lovely 7 night break at this hotel. Although it was peak season we had a package which upgraded us to a Gold Club room. We really appreciated the small lounge, bar and dining area where we could have our breakfast and complimentary tea and evening drinks. The gentleman on reception in the Gold Club was amazingly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room overlooked the gardens, was very comfortable and had a very sunny balcony. The only minor complaint was that we would have liked more drawer space, or at least a shelf in the wardrobe where we could put some of our things, although the wardrobe space and supply of hangers was excellent.

The pool and gardens were delightful and beautifully maintained. The pool staff were very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the constant supply of cold water and also the complimentary fruit and cleaning of sun glasses! We spent a lot of time at the adult pool. It was very good for swimming and depth and also for the sun canopies/gazebos. It was very quiet and peaceful and we really appreciated this as our time at the hotel was at the peak Easter/Royal wedding season. Nothing was too much trouble for the courteous and friendly pool staff.

Apart from the Rotisserie, (or Olives) the restaurants at the Palace were excellent. The food was very fresh and beautifully prepared. We particularly liked the Beach Bar and Grill. The Tagine was also very good. We did go to The Palm for a meal at Stay one evening and were very disappointed. My lobster fricassee was rich and over salted and the chips that came with my husband's meal were inedible. I have to say that we were not charged for the chips which were returned almost untouched.

I had three treatments at The Spa and they were all wonderful. I spend a bit of time in spas in general, and this one is particularly good. Treat yourself to the One and Only Ritual for something very special.

The hotel is big and we usually stay in boutique type hotels because we prefer that kind of thing, but I have to stay I could not fault the ambiance, the service, the surroundings or the excellence of the staff. Well done to everyone and thanks for making this such a lovely holiday. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

I stayed at the Palce (the main hotel out of the three) with my wife and 14-month old daughter for one week and overall had a very positive experience for our first stay at this resort. We booked through BA holidays and got upgraded to a one-bed room suite which was ideal with a baby. Our room was located on the 4th floor, relatively quiet, with views over the pool area, ocean and skyline of Jumeirah city. Despite being 12y old, the hotel interior still looks nice, stylish and very clean.
The resort has about 9 restaurants across the 3 hotels, all featuring different cuisine, so ideal if you want to dine around. Quality/taste is very good throughout, however the Olives buffet is a little simple and wanna-be French gourment restaurant "Celebrities" is heavily overpriced. We most enjoyed Beach Grill, Eau Zone and Nina.
Pool area is very nice, pool is huge and well tempered, there a plenty of sunbeds and if you have a suite like we had, you have a pre-reserved gazebo, either on the pool or the beach. The beach is gorgeous - fine white sand leading into calm, turquois water, very shallow. Only downside is that the Palm is obstructing your view out to the ocean and sometime noisy jetskiers disturb your afternoon nap on beach!
Service throughout the hotel various and can best be described as "anxious/exerted". That is to say that some staff are excellent, others would love to help you but simply cant, either because they dont understand you, or they are not adaquately trained (yet) to do so, Honestly, at a 5* plus resort like the One&Only where guest pay between GBP500-2000 per night, there shouldnt be any beginners/trainees/non-english speakers left alone serving guests. This in my view is the only big negative of our whole stay. The fact that they didnt manage to get our in-room internet working for the whole stay shall be forgiven, as there where lots of other things to do than surfing the web...
Finally verdict, very nice beach resort, excellent food, family friendly, but inconsistent service.

My partner and i stayed at The Palace within the One & Only Resort during early April. My partner arranged this as a special treat for my 40th birthday. From the moment we arrived to we sadly had to leave we had a truly wonderful stay. The service, the staff, restaurants, quality of the food, ambiance, the room we all fabulous. We were upgraded to a Gold Club Room, and the extra touchs and location, view & comfort enhanced our stay even more. Would like to thank Shannon our dinner host at "Stay" on The Palm for a fantastic evening on my birthday.

We had the half board option, which was more than well worth it, allowing you a choice of restaurants across 4 hotels within One & Only, which included The Palm also. Where an A La Carte menu is choosen, you have a 150 dirham per person credit. Yes alcohol is expensive, however this goes for all hotels in Dubai, if your aware of that you can accept it and its only the same as a top 5 star hotel in London overall.

We took the courtesy bus to the Dubai Mall, where you can also take in the Burj Khalifa Tower (worlds new and current tallest building) A good day out and change of scene from the beach.

The hotel offers a courtesy boat transfer to One & Only The Palm, which is a must either for a daytime visits or a stunning evening & meal.

We will definitely be returning, if you chose this hotel you truly wont be disappointed.........it was simply perfect!!!

My family and I stayed at the Palace for a week and as soon as we arrived the staff were clearly very friendly and extremely helpful. Our rooms were fantastic especially the Executive suite. The hotel is very luxurious and the attention to detail across the hotel is paramount. The pool area was very large and it never felt over-crowded. One thing I was very impressed with were the activities the staff offered. From water volleyball in the morning to tennis in the evening; the two staff members, Joel and Kelly, were non-stop and made the holiday even better. Personally, I thought the cuisine available was very good and the food as excellent. We came away with three favourites that you must visit; The Beach Bar and Grill, Tagine and Nina's. To conclude i thought the holiday was fantastic and we will definitely go back!

just returned from a 5 night stay at The Mirage (Palace) Staff wonderful and the resort is amazing. I travel a lot, but can honestly say have that I've never felt so spoilt, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurants are superb, and the dine around is excellent. The bars are in amazing locations such as the beach, courtyard and roof top. Didnt want our break to end. travelled with hubby and 3 daughters aged 21,19 and 8 - everybody happy with no complaints even from the older children.

Room Tip: road works at front so request room not facing
