We got back from the Palace this morning. It was even more fantastic than we had thought it would be. It is absolutely stunning and we had a week or pure luxury. The hotel was very clean and very grand. Our bedroom was large, clean and stylish. The maids clean your room during the day and then in the evening they come in again when you are having dinner and turn down the bed covers for you, put hotel slippers by your bed and restock water, towels and toiletries. The attention to detail is fantastic. By the pool the guys come round with cold flannels to cool you, cool water, fresh fruit and they clean your sunglasses. They provide you with beach towels and find a spot for you either on the beach, by the pool or on the lawn with or without shade, whatever you want. There are gazibos and large umbrellas around the pool and on the beach so you have shade. The hotel restuarants are top quality. We loved the beach bar restuarant. The pool bar is good for lunch. We had some meals at the hotel and some out. We really enjoyed visiting the Grosvenor House hotel, which is very close by. You can visit the bar on the 44th floor and see Dubai from above including the palm. We went to a lovely restuarant just in front of the Jumeria beach which has a 360% view of the sea, the burj and the coast. You get to it by going to the Jumeria then they take you in a buggy along a little pier to the restuarant which is just in the sea, between the Jumeria and the Burj. They have a roof top bar there as well so if you just want a drink you can do that. You get a great view of the Burj. We also went over the Creek to the Hyatt Regency hotel where there is a revolving restuarant on the top floor. Again this was brilliant as you could see fantastic views of Dubai, well worth a visit. It was a buffet there, good value for money and lots of lovely, good quality food to choose from.
We were totally impressed with our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a luxurious break. I haven't emailed my pictures yet as I only arrived back in the UK a few hours ago. I will try and add them soon. They are fantastic. I really can't fault this place, and I think I can be quite fussy so that says a lot. Please email me if there is anything specific I can help you with.

We cannot wait to go back here. The staff are mega friendly and look after you so well. The choice of restaurants is excellent.

I would recommend having the "Royal Hammam" experience/massage at the Spa - quite something.

We stayed at The Palace just before Easter with our three children aged 6, 4 and 2. We had a very enjoyable holiday as it is extremely child friendly and safe. The kids loved the beach which was clean and extensive but don't expect great views for the photos as the building work at the palm is very evident especially to the right of the property. We took advantage of the early kids supper in Olives which was good and then had a baby sitter (very cheap - £3 per hour) so my husband and I could go out to dinner later. We ate at EauZone, Nina and Tagine all of which were good but Nina's was exceptional - this is a really top class restaurant.
We had two interconnecting rooms which were fine but not amazing.
The pool is big and well maintained but does get busy.
The kid's club was well organised and the children enjoyed a couple of hours there while we went to the Spa which was superb.
Overal this is a good place for a family holiday if you want good weather, nice beach and an easy time. The service was friendly but often slow and it wasn't the best 5* hotel in the world but we've also stayed in a lot worse !

Have just returned from a weeks Easter break to the One and Only Royal Mirage in Dubai. The hotel and Dubai was absolutely fantastic! Can not wait to go back again. There is so much to do and so much to see that you cannot fit it into just one week. There is a lot of building work going on in Dubai at the moment, mainly in the marina area (top end of Jumeirah beach) and the central business area. This work does not impact on the Royal Mirage. You can see cranes etc in the distance, but no noise can be heard. The hotel itself if truly wonderful. We are a family of 4 with two adults and two children, and there was something for everyone. The ratio of staff to guests is very high, and their attention to detail is brilliant. Around the pool area and down by the beach there are staff who come round with continuous supplies of fresh iced mineral water and cold flannels. In the afternoon someone comes round with plates of complimentary fresh fruit and there is also a member of staff who comes round to clean your sunglasses! Every afternoon there are complimentary activities for children. This included free use of the pedalos and kayaks one day and free camel rides another. You can also have free snorkles and masks and body boards if required. The hotel also has the Givenchy Spa which is fantastic! Breakfast is served in the Olives restaurant. The food is typical buffet style that would be expected in any 5* hotel. We also ate at the poolside bar for lunch a couple of times and the food was really lovely and reasonably priced. Most evenings we took a taxi out to a mall or souk (taxis are really cheap and plentiful) and ate out. Food in restaurants was of good standard and very good value. All in all a fabulous destination and a luxurious hotel. Would highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Palace at One and Only Royal Mirage for three nights in March 2007. We had booked a Double Deluxe room but unbelieveably got upgraded on arrival to an Executive Suite.
The suite wasn't ready when we arrived so we went down to the Pool Bar to have lunch and our first impressions were really good and this was before we'd even seen our room/suite.

The suite was huge with two furnished balconies one from the living area and one from the bedroom. There was a handwritten welcome note from the hotel manager along with a plate of handmade pastries which was a lovely touch. The furnishings were sumptuous and the living area was HUGE. The bedroom was fantastic and also very spacious. It was the nicest room I've ever stayed in.

Throughout our stay we would arrive back to our room to find a note hoping we were enjoying ourselves, on our departure again there was a note asking if we needed help packing or with any aspect of our luggage and just before we left there was another letter and a box of chocolates.

We ate at Eau Zone and Nina's restaurants both of which are at the Arabian Court part of the Royal Mirage, you get a shuttle bus over to it. Both restaurants were exceptionally good, the food in EauZone in particular was spectacular. For lunch we ate at the Pool Bar which was simple fare but really well done.

All in all, the service at this hotel is perhaps the best I've ever come accross, the overall impression I got was that each and every member of staff genuinely wanted you to have the best holiday ever, they were constantly smiling and greeting you.

The grounds, pool and beach area of the hotel were meticulously kept and again the staff at the pool and beach were great. We went sailing most days it was cheap and there was plenty of choice in terms of your options from Kayaks, to Hobie cats and Lasers right up to waterskiing from speedboats.

The building work at the Palm Jumeirah development is quite prevalent while you are on the beach and indeed on the land side there is extensive building work going on in the area BUT hand on heart it DOES NOT adversely affect your enjoyment of the hotel or indeed your enjoyment of the entire Dubai experience in the least, in my view its exciting to be able to witness the development of such an amazing destination.

I've been to a lot of hotels in Dubai through the course of my work but this beats all the others hands down. Its not the biggest hotel in Dubai but its DEFINITELY THE BEST!!

We stayed for 6 nights in early March and loved the hotel.
Our room was large and on the ground floor with a small terrace overlooking the gardens.
We found the staff both enthusiastic and professional in their approach.
We ate in Ninas, EauZone and the Grill at the palace and found the quality and presentation of the food to be good.
Although we had no complaints if you are looking for a nice quiet beach with views go to the Maldives or similar as there is a lot of building work going on for the new Palms resort that did spoil the views.

we had a 5 night stop-over en-route to the maldives, which we were truly glad we did as it rained in the maldives for 2 whole weeks. The hotel was very comfortable and we ensured we dined in different restaurants each evening. Nina's was superb! The gym facilities were excellent and the givenchy spa was one of the best I have ever visited. We have booked again for June 07,
