My Wife and I stayed at Golden Sands 3 Hotel in Dubai. The hotel was fine and the staff very friendly and helpful but when we checked in on 8th Dec 2012 we were asked to provide our credit card details so that the Hotel could take a Security Deposit of 300 Dirham refundable on check out. We checked out on 13 Dec 2012 and the deposit was NOT REFUNDED instead we were told that they will advise their bank who will pass a credit to our credit card within the next few days. We left the hotel in good faith and guess what at the time of writing this review on Monday 28 January 2013 NO CREDIT has been received. We are wodering if the hotel is using this tactic to screw more dollars from the innocent guests such as ourselves.
Golden Sands 3 When are we going to get our 300 Dirham credited to our credit card account.
Future Guests be aware!!!!

We stayed here with our two teenage daughters. We found the accommodation to be lovely and much better than expected. The cooking facilities weren't suitable for cooking a meal but was great to have a fridge to keep the bottles of water cool. The fact we had two bathrooms was a wonderful surprised and excellent for us when we were all getting ready to go out. The beds in the main room were proper beds and not bed settees or put ups. The wardrobes were very big.

We ate in the breakfast bar every day and found a good choice for all nationalities. It set us up for a day sightseeing. We also tried the snack bar in the lobby and found the food to be of very good quality and beautifully served.

The staff were polite and courteous and very helpful. The rooms were kept very clean. I don't think I have been anywhere that cleaned the main door after someone had used it.

Taxis are normally found right out side the door and was an excellent way of getting round. They weren't exuberantly priced. Overall I would recommend this to anyone.

We stayed here and had a studio apartment for three nights. Spacious and clean with small kitchen and washing machine/dryer. We had trouble with the dryer cycle and had to get help from housekeeping staff. Our towels were not changed and our apartment not cleaned for two days so had to contact the staff. Breakfast was average. Eventhough we had a few problems, the staff were always helpful. These apartments are situated out of the main drag, but taxis are readily available at the door.

We stayed in Golden sands for a week and I must say it was a good choice.

The hotel rooms were very clean and staff was very cordial and helpful too.
its not a very fancy hotel but an exceptionally clean hotel with clean toilets and beds. the breakfast buffet option was quite limited nothing fancy with only 8-10 items. clean pool. these are apartment rooms but the kitchen is very small with a microwave and a small electric burners that are not much helpful. dont expect a separate kitchen or sitting area.

there is a supermarket very close which helps a lot.

the location of the hotel is good Bur Dubai right at the middle of the heart of Dubai. close to malls like Burjuman, old Dubai etc.

Room tip: you may ask for the building 3 its easier to get cabs from there.

Select Golden Sands 10 as this is the only one has WiFi in Rooms, while others have Cable Connection & WiFi is a project under implementation. We stayed in Golden Sands 3, we are 4 Adults, so the Studio was of 2 Rooms interconnected, each with a full Bathroom with Toilet, a small Kitchen (2 door Fridge, Washing Machine, Hot Plate, Kettle, Full Cutlery for 5 Adults and a Microwave oven. Select Non Smoking, Rooms are cleaned everyday and serving Towels, Amenities as well, an efficient A/C in each room, and a Dinning Table. 32" LCD TV is there with a variety of channels. If you are more than 1 and you need WiFi, bring your Mini Router with you as we did, so all the 4 can share the same connection. Rooms has 2 Sofas in the living area with the TV.

Room tip: Select Rooms near Elevator i.e +/- Room Numbers around 120, as for example our room was 104, it is very far from lifts. When tired it will be very long.
