We were on our first trip to Dubai, and found BD while strolling down the Walk. We spoke to the staff and were surprised to have been whisked in for such a warm welcoming, with all staff coming over to say hello and trying their best to make us feel at ease. We had the buffet, and they brought over a special Kandahari bread for us. The next night, on meeting my relatives for the first time in over 10 years, I had to take them to BD and they too enjoyed a very homely atmosphere. The food ranged from Asian to Arabic with some European dishes. The best was the barbeque, with mutton kebabs and chicken topping my list. My wife enjoyed the Biryani and Pillao but we both found their vegetarian section better than our mothers'. My particular thanks to Bijli who made us the Kandahari rottey, and for young lad who made the qeema macaroni. Will surely return the next time we visit Dubai. Pa makho de kha
