“A small taste of old Dubai”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

The Dubai Museum is a small fort in Bastakiya, the old part of Dubai near the creek. While not very extensive, it does give a taste of old Dubai and is also located in a historic part of the city. Do take a look if you have the time and get a chance.

“Very interesting museum”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Stayed in the hotel opposite so had a great view from above. Assumed it was just a small museum but was totally amazed as it unfolded. If you enjoy museums this one is great. Very lifelike models, great image of Dubai in the past. Very small fee to enter, free tickets if you do the tour bus, very well maintained. We found it a great attraction to visit. We will definately be revisiting.

“Worth The Visit”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Recently visited the museum on a hot day. Absolutely worth the effort to get a fell for the maturation of Dubai. Self paced and could provide additional informational assistance but still worth seeing. Many interesting exhibits and pieces of history. It is very easy to get to and catch a cab from. Worth the time.

“Small - expected much more”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

This is a small museum with mannequins depicting the lifestyle of Dubai citizens in the past.
Go there only if you don't have anything else to do, or if you are really interested in Dubai history.
The fee is small (3 AED), parking is tricky if you want not to park on the private paid parings nearby - I had to do 4-5 circuits of the neighborhood before finding a place.
