This JW Marriott was recently built (as at the time this review was written). Rooms are large and spacious and well-laid out. The pool is nicely built as well, with a shallow area perfect for if you want to lounge and be in water at the same time. Service was very polite. Only complaint was that the check-in/check-out process took an exceptionally long time.

hotel location is very good, it's in business bay, and very next to Dubai Mall, hotel has shuttle to Dubai Mall every 15 minutes, that's sweet, hotel is very big and high, room is nice and clean and well decorated. staff are very nice, but food in executive lounge found simple and lack of choice, I can't call it dinner with some strange Arabic and Indian food, which makes me uncomfortable, if you don't need to eat in hotel, you shouldn't have such problem, buffet in Kitchen 6 downstairs was wonderful, I would highly recommend to you if you can eat that much for dinner. my 3 nights stay here were wonderful, I may consider stay in this hotel next time when I go to Dubai.

Room Tip: since this building is #6 high in Dubai, the higher floor the better view you can have.

This hotel offers an exceptional experience, from every perspective. The rooms are large and well appointed, it's close to the main sights & sounds, has great views and has some fantastic restaurants (la Farine, Kitchen 6 and Rang Mahal are the ones we tried and loved!). But, for us, the most important thing was the quality of service, especially for a hotel this size (its humungous!). Right from the man who greeted you at the door to the staff in housekeeping to the people at the restaurants, the service was consistently warm and extremely responsive. They gave us an extra child bed without any charge! That and many other small touches, really made the whole experience memorable. We hope they keep it up! I know where I'm staying whenever I visit Dubai next!

This is a smart hotel with excellent service from a truly international staff. Rooms are spacious with large bathrooms. For anyone travelling with an infant, our room comfortably fit a baby cot and pram. Very good restaurant options as well as a wide range of room service menu items. We enjoyed the Thai which has a great range of cocktails and a super ambiance. The event we attended in the hotel also delivered great food although the function space had no atmosphere or decoration. The only down side we found was the slightly slow lifts + the pool is not suitable for lap swimming. Otherwise a great option. BTW they have ice cream on the breakfast buffet!

Myself and a friend met some old colleagues here as it was a convenient meeting point,

I won't go into too much detail as we didn't stay at the hotel; we merely went for happy hour at the Vault Bar, which runs Monday to Thursday between 17:00 and 20:00 and offers all alcoholic drinks at half price,

Well what can I say. The view was magnificent (our table overlooked the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall) and the alcoholic drinks were reasonably priced for Dubai standards! We took the outside elevator so you could see the ground slipping away from you as you silently rose to the 71st floor!

Definitely an experience to come here on top of the world's tallest hotel (until Dubai doubtless builds another one which is taller!)

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights.

Location - 10 mins walk away from metro station which is convinent. Have enough taxi waiting around outside hotel.

Check in - very nice experience. Since we landed at 5AM, check in staff let us had bfast in the restaurant for free.

Staffs - very nice and helpful staffs, the excursion we order from an outside vendor didnt turn up. they helped to call up and reschedule pick up for us.

Food - only had bfast here, huge range of choice! Note - it might get really busy after 9AM and saw people queuing outside of the restaurant, so do go there slightly earlier to secure seats.

Cons - very slow lift. forgotten which floor we stayed on but believe it was one of the highest.. Took 5 mins at least to wait for a lift. Just remember to take all the things you need for going out before you leave your floor. Otherwise going back up and coming back down is a huge hassle (easily take you 30 mins)

1. The room allocated to us - the a/c didn't work. After checking in, going to the room, the a/mechanics and a supervisor tried for 30 min - no luck! We had to change rooms for our entire party of 3 rooms.
2. On check in, we decided to take the upgrade and pay additionally aed 350 + taxes a night... The supervisor said both the rooms we had 5702 and 5703, had the upgrade and had access to - breakfast, internet and executive club/lounge access.,, but this wasn't the case. We had to ask for it again, and then an embarrassing situation later.
3. Turndown service is a joke, no one comes until you call.
4. The night before check out,I booked the hotel Lexus for an additional 110 aed. Checkout was at 4.30 am... It took 15 min at check out since the printer didn't work. And then it took 20 additional mins for the car to arrive... We had to chase it 3-4 times.

Overall horrible service. Considering i am a club marriott member, and a silver elite marriott member. The staff knew this.Horrible service. Never going to a JW again.
