“...my favourite restaurant in my favourite hotel...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

(38720322) let me please start w a single solitary negative. the room is dark; laughably, hideously and dangerously dark. it does irk me. i have mentioned it. i can see no reason whatsoever for such a poor choice of lighting. they certainly spent a small fortune on the interior - but the beauty is lost.
now....i rate my meals here as fine to stellar.
i had three starters; scallops, giant prawn and soft shell crab. superbly executed. the prawns (two of them) were filled with a corriander stuffing. the crab was centred on the dish with several mini lump white crab meat & salsa salads situated around the perimetre. the crab was paired with a mango chutney. excellent. i asked for sag gosht as a main (not on the menu but i always ask for this dish wherever i go). they not only did it justice, but is truly a top 5 in my life.
this is fine dining. and will not disappoint.
the only way i was able to photograph my food was with a torch they use to help read the menu with !!!!!!!!! my menu would have been impossible to read w/out the torch. amazing and silly.
i cannot accept dining and not knowing what my food looks like. this is a basic human right !!!!

“Excellent Modern Indian Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

From the moment you arrive at Rang Mahal's you are guaranteed a first class experience with a team that go out of their way to ensure you feel special, they are so charming in the way they look after you, as we have visited before, they always make the effort to welcome you back which is very nice. As you walk in you pass through a warm and welcoming bar area with cosy areas to sit and have a quiet drink before dinner. The restaurant has a lovely feel and quite different, lovely high ceilings and warm browns make it feel very relaxed and inviting, tables are set out well and the open kitchen where you can watch the chef and team at work is a real treat. We have been a few times and always leave looking forward to our next visit, whether it be with friends, family or just on our own. Tonight we had the trio of potatoes and shredded lamb parties, delicious, the lamb patties are so light, they just melt in your mouth. We had the sea bass in the wonderful coconut sauce and smoked chicken pieces marinated in black pepper and tomato and cooked in the tandoori, both really lovely dishes with such wonderful flavours. We found a little bit of room to share the chocolate delice dessert, it is heaven. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant, if you have not been, we highly recommend, it has certainly become one of our favourites.

“Rang Mahal Adds Special Ramadan Menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014

The dark wood tones make the cavernous room seem cozy. The staff is welcoming and provide great service. We chose the set three course menu designed for Ramadan that started with moist stuffed dates followed by a wide array of food to be tried by all. Among my favorites were the shrimp in a saffron marinade, leg of lamb in Lucknowi spices, red lentils with green mangoes, okra, and the bread pudding for dessert. If you choose this fixed menu, everyone in your party needs to order that way. One in our group was vegetarian and they provided several selections just for her without a fuss. They will also accommodate your needs should you have food allergies. There is sooo much delicious food to eat served to your table you won't be disappointed! The a la carte menu is still available if preferred. Your choice of beverage is ordered separately. See the full menu with the link below.

I have visited rang mahal many times and every time seems to get better. From the minute you walk in until the minute you walk out you are treated like kings and quuens. The food is always impecable and the passion chutney martini is to die for. In my opinion the best restaurant in dubai

“Modern High level Indian restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

The set up is stunning and the service impeccable. Very modern spohisticated restaurant. I like the selection and the quality - the flavours are fabulous. A slight negative was the fact the lighting is pretty low (need a lamp to read the menu) and the air co was to strong (we needed to wear a small blanket)
