We have visited this place last week. 4 adults / 2 kids. Food took forever to appear. Dishes were served one by one and we have waited forever to get the full order. Missing side orders appeared almost at the end of the meal. Mussels arrived cold and garlic bread was stale. The staff was polite when you had a chance to talk to anyone as they were understaffed and whole restaurant was served by 4 people. Would not recommend!

We all Love a Good Steak! Well, unless we're vegan then we like just carrots instead! :P
Jokes aside, my family has always loved our steaks and had it at various places around the world, BUT at home in Dubai for us, nothing beats the Butcher Shop & Grill. The Staff are super friendly, helpful and professional. the menu is simple, uncluttered and the food comes out if the kitchen in a timely manner and is delicious!
The overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice and relaxing, with plenty of space and friendly for guests with kids.
The steaks are well priced for the quality that you get.

If you're looking for a good steakhouse that won't break the bank, this is the place.

Bonapetite! ;)

we went on Friday, after golf. Arrived just at Iftar - 7pm. Place was full. Greeter took our name and phone number and of we went for a soda.
20 minutes later we had the call.
It's a buzzy open area looking out into Mirdif Mall. we had a table in the middle, but plenty of space.
we received complementary Bowoers (S African sausage), Lentil soup, bread and dates - as it was Ramadan. We didnt really need starters, but selected 2 Salt & Pepper Calamari between 3 of us. Servings were HUGE, in a "dixie" (army/camping rectangular metal cooking pot). Calamari was tender, maybe just a bit too salty, but very good.
My wife and I had a Prime Rib each. It was more like a rump than a US Prime Rib, but beautifully medium rare with two generous sides. Our friend had the veal tenderloin, sliced, with Mushroom sauce and one side. He was well pleased. No room for desserts and we boxed half of my Prime Rib and had it for dinner next evening! Only one (tiny) observation. It would be good to stock local water and not just French (Badoit & Evian) in glass bottles. Otherwise GREAT value for money.

Visited TBS&G after several years. I like the ambiance of the restaurant - it feels vast with both inside and outside seating, while you watch the world go by.

We got some bread with and very delicious tasting home made butter along with the commercial one, wish the bread were more fresher or slightly warmed, a little petri dish was served along with that a tomato and sausage gravy - nice touch! The lemon mint was way too lemony for my taste...

Ordered the special promotion steak - and the taste of the meat actually depends on how you want it cooked - we ask for medium well. The steak was well marbled wagyu beef, very juicy and melt in the mouth. The sauce was a rich french sauce with loads of pepper and butter. We even asked for the extra sauce on the side. You get one side dish with it - we ordered the fries... the fries were stick thin and little bit limpy - that should have been chunky and hand cut to go along with this super steak dish.
If you cook your steaks well done - it will never be juicy.

prices are more on the expensive side for the portions served, I guess it could be due to prime ingredients being used. Service was good and very accommodating. I will definitely visit again to eat some good beef!

I needed to collect items from CCM and as it was lunch time we noticed that the Butcher Shop & Grill was opened; it had been closed for several months undergoing renovations. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful; a good upgrade. New everything from decor to menu but same delicious food. We love the boerewors in tomato bredie sauce with bread with feta & biltong dust for nibbles that they serve. If you ask they also give you a taster of biltong, droewors and chill bites; which we love. Meals cater for the very hungry to the lite bites, beef, chicken, seafood... but it is a butcher shop... so definitely try out the beef. My kids enjoyed their burgers, I tried the fillet skillet with garlic and olive oil and my husband tried the rump. We were warned that the meal takes a little longer than fast food as it is cooked fresh and to your liking. But we were offered more bread while we waited. Dress casual, great for families, couples and even a business meeting.
