We enjoyed our stay at the Al Waleed. The staff were helpful, respectful and ever so courteous. Our house keeper Naresh was just the best. He was welcoming and did an awesome job. The security guy from Nepal was awesome. Honesly cant complain about the service offered. If I had to suggest something it would be the water pressure and also it would be nice to have some directory with places one can do or where one one can buy stuff in the rooms/apartment like in North America hotels😊.

While the area itself is not very beautiful -'calling cards' left on all the cars -the apartment was good. The area is easy to get to and close to the Mall of the Emirates.
The staff were excellent. Very helpful.

I would recommend the Al Waleed Palace and stay there again. My apartment was spacious with many modern amenities like fast wifi, two flat-screen TVs with hundreds of cable channels, a washing machine, large refrigerator, and microwave. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the daily housekeeping services. The location is about a 15-minute walk from the Mall of the Emirates.

The only downside was that I had to ask, sometimes several times, for numerous broken items to be fixed. When I arrived, one of the cable boxes, the microwave, and two stove-top burners didn't work, a light was burned out, the kitchen faucet was very loose, and the bathroom sink was slow to drain. The staff eventually fixed everything (except the burned out light), but I would expect everything to be in working order when I arrive.

Pros:
-very fast and great wifi
-about 1.5 km from Mall of Emirates so not very far away.
-very nice corteous helpful staff
-huge rooms
-very good air-conditioning
-swimming pool outside at the roof
-there is shops markets restaurants etc. near the hotel
.nice big very cold fridge at the room
-great beds and pillows
-rooms are very clean and all the cleaners are superb!!!

Cons:
-metro is 1.5 km away from the hotel... fortunately taxis are very cheap.
-rooms needs to be renovated (they looked like 70s rooms), also many things are broken in the rooms
-no cafeteria, hotel does not sell anything...
-pool needs more sitting places to take the sun
-would be nice if hotel has free transport for ex. to the beach and shopping centers as many hotels in Dubai have.
-not very nice to walk around, no crosswalks or pavements
-taxis does not know this hotel!

Room tip: Take a room from upper stairs

The entrance betrays the content: a very small and narrow entrance leads you to a small reception, I was waited by Tamir, excellent service.

I arrived a little early in the morning and I had to wait till midday to get my apartment cleaned.

A very large apartment, to be a one bedroom one' well appointed and with a balcony overlooking the hotel front.

The service of the cleaning staff was also excellent, and overall I was quite surprised by this hotel.

I stayed in total 4 days, and I will definitely book this hotel again during my next visit to Dubai.

I strongly recommend this hotel to business and tourist visitors.

Room tip: Try to ask for a top floor apartment
