“Good sized room, nice bathroom.”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

We were amazed at the size of the room (perhaps it was because we were staying 3 in the room--an extra comfortable small bed was brought in). Room was clean and quiet, with clean modernised bathroom. Wi-Fi was not free but on expressing some dismay at the cost, the desk clerk offered to charge me for one day, and give our two additional days stay at no cost. The desk clerk and concierge were friendly but not reliable. Supposedly called for the airport transfer bus, but didn't. We asked for our bags to be stored after checkout until evening, but came back to find them still sitting in the lobby. We mistakenly thought that the breakfast buffet was included, but it turns out it was only "free" for those in a travel group. Thereafter we had breakfast at other places nearby. (There was a food court on the corner down the street.)
We would definitely stay there again--very reasonable room price, and good location both to the metro, and to walk to the Creek area.

Good Things :

- Location - very close to supermarkets, metro station & Indian restaurants.
- Staff is friendly & helpful.

Bad Thing :

- All extra facilites are terribly expensive : A water bottle which costs 1.25 Dirham in the market is given to you for 8 Dirham. You may simply go and buy it from the supermarket next door.
- The breakfast has few options. Just about OK.

Had a short stay in one of the suites.
Positives: good spacious rooms. Quite on the 5th floor. Clean bathroom. Good clean bed. Plenty of indian food around the place. Even had a good vegetarian food at Pathan's nearby.
Negative: strong smell of tobacco in the room. It would be good if they kept all rooms smoke free! No free wi-fi.
Things to improve: the rooms are a bit dated. Can do with a makeover! The first person who checked us in needs retraining! The second chap who came along to the check in desk was efficient and courteous.

I stayed at the Imperial Suites at Bur Dubai during a short family break in Aug 2013. The hotel is ideally located near the Al-Fahidi Metro Station in Bur Dubai and there are lot of shopping centers, restaurants, supermarkets, etc within walking distance of the hotel.

The room was big a spacious, but the furniture is out dated. The Management should consider upgrading their rooms with modern furniture.

There is no free Wifi in the hotel and the cost of using their internet is high.

They have a buffet breakfast in a conference room on their roof top. The menu is mostly Indian and okay, but you don't feel like you're on a holiday as the setting and atmosphere is more like a mess hall and canteen.

Room service was okay and the staff were co-operative. So we did have a nice time, as the hotel was just a place to wind down after a day out visiting their various local attractions in Dubai.

If the management takes some steps to upgrade their rooms, serve their buffet breakfast in a better way and provide free wifi internet to their guest, they should get much better reviews and happier guests!

Room Tip: to avoid noise from their disco, choose a room on an upper floor. Like 4th or 5th floor.

I stayed for 5 days at Imperial Suites in April 2014. They were courteous and upgraded my room for free to their best group (Executive) which might be because I was with 11 month old infant. Some pros are:
1. Has a lot of shopping areas near by (specially Meena Bazaar)
2. Near to Al Faheed metro station
3. Good breakfast (specially in Indian food)
4. Big grocery shops in close vicinity
5. Rooms were cleaned daily and nicely
6. Many restaurants near by
7. Has in-house pub, restaurant and discotheque

CONS:
1. Internet is not free
2. Lunch/Dinner is not great

Room Tip: Take rooms above 5th floor to avoid loud music from Discotheque

I had participated GULFOOD 2014 in Feb and stay in this hotel. During my stay, I do request Wi-Fi but was hold to purchase a card.
The card i used is not workable and i told the front desk whether i should pay.
The assistance front office manager said i am a liar and why cant effort to pay for 50 dirham? I'm felt humiliated and insulted and may bring this matter to Malaysia Embassy for their attention.
