Spent eleven nights during August.positives first; Fantastic accomodation especially bathroom which was huge Beds ,pillows very comfortable. House keeping excellent (special mention to May who looked after our room)Butler service very good ,booking meals ordering transport to ferry you around etc.As part of the package we enjoyed access to a no. of Jumeirah restaurants which is very usefull as the main buffet was very poor . some of the restaurants carry a suplement but are still well worth the money;Highly recommend Pai Thai, MJs La Parilla,Segreto,.Avoid Toscana and the main buffet.(both very average)You also have access to an Indian on the Palm (quite good) The main pool is very big but personaly I would prefer to have an adult only area .Probably would avoid school holidays in the futue. The beach location is easily the best in Dubai .Great walk under the Burj. The overall experience was great. I will be back in future.

We travelled as a family to the DAM and stayed in Villa's 10 & 11. Took my parents as we thought they deserved a touch of luxury and we were not disappointed. You cannot praise this resort enough, from the attention to detail, the "nothing is too much" attitude of all staff. This is what makes this resort different to others we have stayed at. The sheer professionalism and manner of all staff beit managers or maids. A special mention to the following people: Don, Dilip the chef, Shakeel and vaious other members of staff at the Arborateum Restaurant who made my parents dining experiences so special and tailored to their dietry requirements. Thank you so much as you made their trip special. Also would like to thank our numerous butlers who became more like family towards the end of our stay - special mentions to Angelee, Tiku and all the butlers that looked after Villa 11 during our stay of 22nd August to the 28th August 2011. Special touches include the happy hour drinks every night where you can have the opportunity to meet other guests within your Villa block and they became such good company you look forward to that every night. You need to experience this place to truly believe the hype. Thank you DAM!! Paradise on Earth.

Room Tip: Request for a room with a view of the waterways, very tranquil.

We have just returned from another week at this hotel , our 3rd this year, and will return in October for another week. The service is fantastic, you are always greeted by a smile and a hello! They try their hardest to help with whatever it is you request. We booked a Gulf Summerhouse Arabian deluxe room, which is a room within the summerhouses on the beach, but with a garden view. We have stayed in an ocean view too, they are identical except for the view. The Butler service is very attentive and its a very nice touch to have complimentary drinks in the evening and nibbles in the reception area of the "villa" as the summerhouses are known. The room has everything you would want, the most amazing large comfortable bed ever, an amazingly big bathroom/dressing room and complimentary water, and also complimentary WIFI throughout resort! The breakfasts were delicious, and if you had any special requests, the chef would make them for you. I was on diet and asked if he could make me my Dukan galette, it was no problem! . The beach is superb with the view of the Burj and the beach boys very helpful, bringing buckets of ice all day long, not to mention the complimentary cold towels, ice lollies and cucumber slices for tired eyes every day! One thing that might improve on buckets of ice for drinks, is an ice cooler box. Having stayed at The Four Seasons in Sharm El Sheik, this is what they do, they give you a box for the day to put all your bottled water in and it stays cold all day! i think with the extreme temperatures in Dubai (42 when we were there) this would be a very sensible investment! The lunches are very good, we only ate by the pool , and all the food we ordered was very good. The portions are quite big, and so sometimes my husband and I shared! As during or stay complimentary half board was included, we dined around the resort. All the restaurants are 5* and we particularly liked Segreto (italian) and MJ's (steak). I cant wait to return October and next year in April!!

This was our fourth visit to DAM resort and stayed in Villa 11, which was nice and close to the beach and walking distance to the main pool and breakfast restaurant. You get your own pool which is shared with three other villas. There is the use of Abras and Golf buggies to all over the resort as its very hot! While we were there it never dropped below 40c every daytime. We loved Segreto's the Italian restaurant with some amazing dishes on the HB option. Kids loved Wild Wadi of course and the kids clubs are amazing with very friendly staff and we let our kids roam the resort freely as they are 13&15 and it felt very safe and with life guards almost every 5 meters at the pools, the kids are well looked after. Booking restaurants is done best through your butler and there was happy hour drinks every night 7-8 to meet your other people staying in the Villas. Lollies by the pool were great and lots of beds although people reserve them before breakfast! Sea was warm of course, but so relaxing with lovely breeze. We will be back again very soon. Amazing relaxing trip.

This is our fourth year to Dar Al Masyaf and we truly cannot imagine going anywhere else. The level of service is second to none and all the staff throughout the whole of Jumeirah do their utmost at all times to ensure your every request is adhered to. The butler service in the villas provide you with all dinner reservations, trips, check-in assistance and general help that you will ever need. The endless supply of drinks and nibbles during the evening 'happy hour' is a really nice and relaxed way to meet and socialise with other guests in your villa. The service around the small pool is also superb and the whole Madinat resort is so beautifully set out, it is difficult to actually do it justice with a written description. This is definitely something that should be experienced first hand. It becomes quite hard to write about all that is good here because the review would be endless. What appeals to us most of all is that every member of staff engages you not just in a scripted range of general questions but talks enthusiastically about anything that you wish to talk about, they remember your name and show a genuine enthusiasm and dedication to providing the perfect environment for a memorable holiday.

We once again spent our summer holiday in the DAM.

After staying here many many times before we decided to mix our trip up a little with stays at the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, and Atlantis first.
We loved the stays at both these fantastic hotels however as it neared our time to move on to the DAM we hoped it would measure up to our previous stays there....Well it certainly did!
We all had a fantastic time AGAIN with help from Antoine Serhan the Director of Rooms arranging both our families requests and making it a trip to remember...from the general service of the staff to a few individuals who really did that little bit extra to help.

The lady who cleaned our room in villa 9 called Aster was amazing...every day she seemed to make the room look brand new!...she is a credit to the maid service.

Sometimes you find a member of staff who really sticks in your mind as a kind and genuine pearson, and this was Gopal the buggie driver.

We all looked forward to seeing Gopal and the children started asking us to request him....he told jokes, made us laugh, and more importantly always had a smile on his face....so if you get to meet him ask him about his buggie air conditioning :-)

If you are thinking of staying at this hotel for the first time and are unsure what to expect...then let me assure you having been lucky enough to have stayed in some of the worlds top hotels this still comes out as right at the top of our list.

Well done DAM staff...our trip was amazing!!

This place is truly fantastic. I have been to Dubai 7 times now at stayed at 5 star hotels every time ranging from the Hilton to the Shangri La...and numerous others....this place is a different league.
We stayed in Vila 16 in an upstairs room....furnishings, appointments, bathrooms all stunning. The butlers were terrific ordering abras, buggies or making dinner reservations. In the evening we as happy hour it is normally alcohol from 6pm to 8pm however as it was Ramadan it was sift drinks 7pm to 8pm and alcohol 8pm to 9pm....and this alcohol restriction is very strict across all of Dubai.
We stayed under the Summer Flavours promotion which was excellent however some tips as follows....
This is a busy hotel, I suggest you make some restaurant bookings via the website before you arrive as often getting reservations in the restaurant you want at the time you want is a challenge.
Second a number of the restaurants incur a £30 per person supplement unsurprisingly these are all the signature restaurants that you will want to go to. Thus if you want to go to one of the steakhouses eg La Parilla or MJs you will incur this charge ...MJs has no restrictions on what you order thereafter whereas La Parilla you are not permitted to have any of the Wagu steaks or the mixed grill. That said the vouchers enabled us to eat a meal for 2 which would have cost circa £200 and we paid 2x£30 plus around £50 for a cheap bottle of wine.
We ate at Segreto which was excellent, although you are not allowed to order 1 dish on the menu. Pai Thai was also excellent as was Amala on the Palm.
Broadly I cannot fault this hotel , the pool areas and beach are great , the private pools by the villas are nice but inevitably get jogged with people reserving beds who never seem to be there, the free access to Wild Wadi is also a nice touch.

If you are staying in a hotel like this I guess you are not watching what you are spending particularly...however if you are on a budget bear in mind the following....none of which should be a surprise if you have been to Dubai before...can of coke £4, water £5 ,beer £7 , glass of wine £10...cheap bottle £40 to £50.

Would we go back....you betcha !
