“Just keeps getting better and better......!!!!”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

This was our 4th year at Dar Al Maysef and yet again we were not disappointed. Overall service and attention to detail remains first class. Everyone can't do enough for you and all staff are so friendly......special mention to Ashis who was wonderful as our butler. One "special" feature of the resort is the complimentary drinks reception from 6-8pm (7-9pm, during Ramadan) and Ashis was the best host EVER!!, such a great personality but also very professional and provided excellent service to all guests.

Another key attraction is the variety and quality of world class restaurants the resort has to offer, Tortuga (Mexican) is a great addition and well worth a visit, but for us Toscana (rustic Italian) is just the best of the best, this covers both the service provided by the Latvian/Mancunian manager to the Chef who is a great character but most importantly produces great food.

Looking forward to next year already as from our experience our holidays here just gets better and better.......Thanks again to Ashis, Toscana, Tortunga and everyone at DAM, keep up the great work.

Room Tip: We like Villa 17, right next to small pool and short walk from AlQsar Reception.

We have recently returned from our second stay at this resort, it did not disappoint, we love it here, the location is perfect, you can do as much or as little as you want. We requested the same block of villas as last year and ended up in the same summerhouse, and they are all in the process of being refurbished, which was one small criticism we had last year. We even sought out our butlers from last year and managed to find them, and they remembered our names which was a lovely touch, I think there are very few places that can say that. We wouldn't want to stay in any big impersonal hotel again. The sundowners time in the evening went down well again and its a lovely way to meet other people during your stay. The staff on the beach were also fabulous, we even got our sunglasses cleaned one day and there was a chap going round spraying you if you got too hot!! We will definitely be going back again !!!

My wife and I stayed at DAM in early June and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. Our Villa team leader Shiv was very attentive and made us feel very welcome, all the Butlers were very helpful and knowledgable of the resort facilities and Dubai in general,We used many of the restaurants and the food was excellent in all,
The rooms are very spacious and bathrooms vast with a wet room shower and separate bath.
Our Villa number18 is close to Al Qasar which makes it an easy journey to use the main hotels facilities.
The abras were a fantastic way of getting around the vast grounds. We have previously stayed at this resort in Mina a Salam which I thought would be hard to beat however a stay at DAM was a step above and we will be back as soon as we can.

I stayed here for 5 nights with my mum and sister from the 18th of June 2014. All i can say about it is outstanding! The grounds are so grand and beautiful, it feels truly magical. The summerhouse we stayed in was perfect, clean, comfortable and an excellent size. The butler service within the summerhouses is a really personal touch, they are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly but Siva in particular always went that extra mile. All of the staff were excellent, really couldn't do enough for you.
The views from the hotel are amazing as the location is so good, I was overwhelmed by my view of the Burj al arab from my sun lounger on the beach each day. A day on the beach was so enjoyable, little touches like ice lollys been given out for free and a refreshing water spray now and again were lovely!
I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough!

2nd Summer trip back to Dubai. Last year we stayed at the Atlantis. Thoroughly enjoyed it and doubted it could ever be beaten....but we were so wrong. With 3 boys in tow a waterpark is a must. Staying at Dal Ar Masyaf you get complimentary access to Wild Wadi....better than Atlantis was the unanimous view of the children. We stayed in an Arabian water villa. Beautifully authentic, waterways connecting all the properties in the resort. Very peaceful and very quiet. There are 8 separate apartments in each villa and each villa has your own personal butler. Complimentary drinks between 7pm and 9pm where you get a chance to meet your fellow guests. We were fantastically looked after all week by Ashis who couldn't do enough for us. Always smiling and very considerate to all the family's needs.
This is a fantastic resort whether you are a couple or a family. Dont go anywhere else ...

Just returned from DAM and oh my goodness this is the best hotel (we think) in the world. Luxurious intimate villas with their own pools. Lovely friendly staff who just cant do enough to make your stay the best ever. Its the little touches that make a holiday into something wonderful/memorable. The cold towels as you arrive back from the pool, to the fresh fruit/ice in your room automatically. The calling of a buggy and even someone walking you to the nearest Abra. We stayed in villa 16 which is perfectly located and the staff could not make the holiday any better. The place is faultless and it was a realy privilege to stay in such surroundings - so much so we will be returning again shortly. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and family.

Room Tip: All very good as you can travel easily by foot, abra or buggy

Returning to the villas of the Dar Al Masyaf for a two week break is like stepping out of your normal world into one of shear luxury, not just tangible beautiful buildings and surrounds, but the fantastic atmosphere that is created by the amazing staff that are there to make your stay so special. From the butlers to the abra pilots, buggy drivers, and pool/beach attendants they are all so personable and friendly that make every moment of your stay so enjoyable. The vast diversity of the Jumeriah resort offers the possibility to find solitude in a quiet pool, fun in one of the big pools, lounging on a beach, or revisiting your childhood at Wild Wadi. The variety of restaurants is staggering and we have never had a bad meal.
The other outstanding feature of the villas are the happy hours where you get to meet lots of other people, exchange experiences on where to eat and what to do. We have made some great friends and it's a pleasure to meet up again the next year at the villas.

Room Tip: Nearer the Al Qasr means you can walk so are not reliant on buggies or abras, but if you on holiday...
