“Holiday was great at the villa”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

I have been several times to Beit al Bahar villas in jumeirah Beach Hotel. I have gone there as a holiday with the family and we enjoyed it very much. The service is of an excellent standard and we was very kindly welcomed upon arriving to the hotel. We have not had any problems during our stay. All the staff are well trained and very polite. The management for the villas is also very good. We had a great time and it is definitely a great place to visit. Nazeer the manager of the villas is a very polite and helpful member of staff.

If you already have stayed at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel (JBH) or the sister hotels at the Madinat Jumeirah resort, and now considering to go all the way at Burj Al Arab (BAA), first try out the hidden treasure of JBH: The 18 villas of Beit Al Bahar!
At a price between an Executive Room at JBH and a suite at BAA, you will get a unique and tranquile private haven. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom with ground leveled large scale bath tub and shower. Living room with flat screen TV, Bose suround sound system and working desk with labtop. Secluded terrace with sun beds and your own private plunge pool.
Every afternoon your personal butler will serve you sandwiches and pastries in the villa.
The service personel specially dedicated to only serving the guests at Beit Al Bahar is at the very top. I have stayed at JBH 8 times in all, 3 times at Beit Al Bahar - I'm so much looking foreward to the next!

Room Tip: Villa number 6 is the only one with views to both Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel

We stayed at Jumeirah Beach Hotel November 12th – 18th.
This was our fourth stay at the hotel, first time in February 2005.
We have during the last years also stayed at Madinat Al Qasr, Madinat Dar Al Masyaf and last year also three nights at Burj Al Arab.
This year we travelled together with some friends, and wanted to go back to JBH.
We had booked two executive club rooms.
Imagine our big surprise when we arrived and were told that we were upgraded to a two-bedroom villa at Beit Al Bahar! We were so excited!
We were met in the villa by the butler with cold towels and fresh juice, and from this time and during all our 6 days at the resort, we were treated sooo good!
The service level is the best I have ever experienced, in my opinion even better than at Burj al Arab.
The privacy at the villas is great, and the amenities are outstanding. Even though you can see that the villas were not built yesterday (they start to show some need of refurbishment) everything is so good! Very comfortable beds, big living room, great bathrooms with a big tub and shower and a huge terrace with your own plunge pool and sun beds.
And the happy hour at Cafe Wadi at night! What a treat! And the server here (sorry, but I can’t remember his name), he was working so hard and did the best he could for us!
We had breakfast at Villa Beach, Latitude and also in the room a couple of mornings, everything was just wonderful. Delicious food of very good quality!
The butlers at the front desk also made a couple of restaurant reservations for us, and they always called a buggy for us if we needed.
The house keeping team was also doing a great job, and worked very hard to keep our villa clean and tidy. They brought fresh fruit, and Nespresso coffee capsules to our room daily, and always plenty of water bottles. The afternoon tea sandwiches and pastries brought to the room every afternoon was also a big treat!
We spent most of the time during the day at the beach and the service there was also excellent! We used some of our half board vouchers for lunch at the beach, plenty of food to share with one or two vouchers for four people!
The day at our departure, we left before 7 am in the morning, the staff took a warm farewell with us outside our villa! The buggy drove us to the main entrance at the hotel, and from there the driver took us to the airport nice and easy.
So, what can I say? This is my 7th time in Dubai, my sixth time at a Jumeirah Hotel, my fourth stay at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and my first stay at the Beit Al Bahar Villas ! Will I come back? Most definitely!

We have stayed at numerous hotels in Dubai including the Burj over the past decade. On an absolute basis with Dubai as your benchmark this is the best in our opinion. The two bedroom villas offer an oasis of tranquility in what was a heaving school holiday week in October. The service is truly outstanding on all levels and the proximity of the villas to the pool and beach make this ideal for families.

Where do I even find the words to begin?

Beit al Bahar made your 1st stay and experience of Dubai an absolute pleasure. From the moment we landed at the airport, until the time to say farewell - we jumped at a last minute trip having read the reviews on TA and having heard fantastic comments from friends, and were STILL completely blown away.

The manager, Russell was very polite to reply promptly and help us organize a villa right next to the beach. We had our own massive villa with high ceilings and adorned with beautiful dark wood, the comfiest bed ever!!!! The terrace ha a nice splash pool to cool off from the sweltering heat.

The resort was clearly designed for families, with loads to do – from the free Wild Wadi waterpark right next door, to the Sinbad’s kids club, which was open all day long. We hardly saw the kids – they had an amazing time. The level of comfort and attention throughout the villa complex was astounding - from being shown around by the hostess Jen, to the DVD/Entrainment System in the living room and the latest PlayStation in the kid’s room, the wonderful Bvlgari soaps and shower gels, complimentary fruit baskets and bottle of Champagne on arrival, to a personal departure letter from Russell, and all the staff remembering our personal preferences and what we had been up to that day.

Our exclusive breakfast at the Villa Beach restaurant every morning offer a mouthwatering choice of a la carte dishes, all of the freshest and highest quality, in the afternoons around 4pm we were served an array of wonderful sandwiches and cakes for our afternoon tea and then later in the evening we were invited to join in for the complimentary evening cocktails between 6pm and 7pm – by the way, all of this is included in your room rate!!!
A huge heart-felt thank you to Russell and this amazing team for helping us maximize our days and organizing our excursions in and around Dubai. Beit al Bahar has everything you could possibly want for a luxurious, serene, romantic holiday away to recharge is right at your fingertips.

Beit al Bahar, thank you so much for showing us the best of Dubai, and for such a memorable, personalized and exceptional experience. Everyone is getting so tired of us raving about this place that they've decided to come here and see it for themselves. We will definitely be back again to see the sunset behind the Burj Al Arab!

Room Tip: Everything about booking one of the villa is the best tip i can offer, the extra money is definately...

The average rating is verging on generous. We have visited Beit al Bahar previously and enjoyed our stay. Five years later although the accommodation is still beautiful many things have changed. The service is much poorer and much reduced however this is not our main concern. The whole point of Beit al Bahar is that is is an exclusive oasis of tranquility, excellent service and luxury. Its close proximity to Wild Wadi water park means that the noise from pop music beating out from 10am until closing time means that it is far from a tranquil should you wish to spend time around the Beit al Bahar pool or your own plunge pool. When we mentioned it to the manager that it was incredible noisy around our villa (no 7 I believe), he acted surprised and said that no-one had ever mentioned that before but he would ask Wild Wadi to turn down the music. It did not happen. It dawned on us that on the last time we visited our children were younger and therefore needed accompanying to the beach, wild wadi etc. therefore we weren't spending much time during the day at Beit al Bahar. Five years later we were hoping that we would enjoy a peaceful timeby the villa and our son would be free to go to and from wild wadi without us. We had thought Beit al Bahar would be the best of both worlds; our son would do the things he would want to do and we could be nearby but in peace. How wrong we were! Wild Wadi invades the villas. It is not a quiet place. It is not an oasis of tranquility. So, nothing happened to reduce the noise during the day but in the evening Beit al Bahar is a lovely place to be - unless the management allow fellow guests to hold a party there with guest from neighbouring hotels. There are many signs around explaining that Beit al Bahar is an exclusive place for use of its guests only. Also the signs around say that the pool is closed from 8pm. We didn't use it after that so why was a rowdy group of people, including screeching children, allowed to party and bomb into the swimming pool until after midnight? When I phoned after midnight to complain we were told that the group had been asked to leave but the noise continued for a while. The following day the manager bumped into my husband and apologised for the noise. He said the group of guests from the sister hotel had been asked to leave the premises and I would I like a spa treatment? An absolutely half hearted apology we felt. In other respects Beit al Bahar is fine but its service is definitely no-where near where it was 5 years ago. Staff seem less concerned, less happy, more half hearted. Clearly some of them were lovely and helpful but certainly no more than should be expected as minimum for a place of this price and supposed quality. In the six months since we visited Beit al Bahar we have visited Four Seasons in the Maldives and Singita in South Africa. Both of these places really do know what service is about. Jumeirah (the group that Beit al Bahar is within) is not top quality any more. It feels more like a machine and much less concerned with personal touches. More than anything though it is the attitude and response of the management that makes us feel that Jumeirah will not be our resort provider of choice. It is an expensive place to visit, which would be fine if it lived up to its own publicity. It doesn't. Jumeirah needs to re-evaluate its service levels.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far from Wild Wadi as possible

Beit Al Bahar is the place to stay in Dubai. A perfect balance of service and luxury facilities. The combination of the highest standard of service, luxurious villas and surrounding facilities, made our holiday magical and full of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

We had an absolutely brilliant holiday. The children cried that they had to leave! And in the eight weeks since we have returned they keep asking when can we go back? Emotions and questions we adults hide but feel just as strongly.

As a party of six; grandparents, parents and two children under eight, we have been fortunate to stay at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, in premium leisure rooms and Junior Suites, and the Burj Al Arab in two separate suites. This time we thought we would try the Beit al Bahar. Whilst we had wonderful holidays on the previous occasions and without any discredit to their superb facilities or service levels, in our opinion, the Beit Al Bahar is a hidden treasure.

There are many wonderful things to note, however, there is one element that must be mentioned. The outstanding staff. We spoke with all the staff we met and all of them were positive, genuine, polite & communicative. Due to their roles we had the chance to speak with some more than others and met others we first met 5 years ago. Russell Dray, the manager and Shetty the butler were two names that I can recall now. They and all the other staff driving the buggies, in the restaurants, at the Wild Wadi and at the pools without exception are to be highly praised.

This holiday was to celebrate a 40th birthday and the staff did everything possible to make every element of our celebrations special and memorable. Exceptional service, tables and food in restaurants, balloons and cards in the villa, and more birthday cakes than we should eat!

The villas are located in a secluded area between JBH & BAA providing privacy and tranquillity. The bedrooms and bathrooms are superb. The sunken bath is pure indulgence, the beds sumptuous and the calmness of the whole ambiance contrasting with the heat and sun is sublime.

It’s better than home from home!

We were fortunate to be in a 2 bed villa, on the front row with a clear view of the Burj. The perfect location, with a large patio, round hardwood table and chairs, four loungers and a plunge pool. The large patio was perfect for all times of day. The children loved the plunge pool, (parents are the life guards at this one), and to sit of an evening talking and watching the lights on the Burj was great.

If you are considering the JBH, spend the bit extra and you will be glad you did.

If you are considering BAA, this is far more relaxing and private.

It may not have the gold and crystal sparkles but it is the Jewell in the Jumeirah Dubai Crown.
