“Excellent Hotel”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

This hotel is good and is very convenient because of its geographical location in Dubai. The food is also good and service is also very good for tourists. The Dubai museum opposite the hotel is a very nice scene.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Dubai Museum

Everything about this hotel was perfect for us. Staff were friendly and helpful from when we arrived to when we left. Breakfast was everything you could want. The dinning options were good. Location was great, short walk to metro, across from the interesting Dubai Museum, also close to creek if you want to get a boat across. Our only issue was how smoky the Sherlock Holmes Pub was, it's a shame smoking is still allowed indoors in some places, it was nice to have the non smoking section to ourselves.

We have used this hotel before, this time it was for a quick over night stop due to an 18 hr Emirates stop over. Transfer from the Airport to the hotel takes about 20 mins during the day but only 15 mins in the early morning. If you are using a regular taxi which are very plentiful it costs about 25 dirham dependent on traffic. If you use a 'VIP' taxi
The hotel is comfortable and clean and in the old part of the city near the Museum. Check in is quick with helpful staff.
The rooms are of a good size with quiet efficient aircon. Beds are large with good mattresses and very clean crisp sheets. The rooms smell slightly musty when you first go in but this soon clears once the aircon is started.
The bathrooms are of a good quality with plenty of towels. The shower was powerful over the bath. - Recommended

Room Tip: If you book direct with the hotel you usually get a room over looking the front of the hotel which h...

We spent five nights in this hotel. It was our first visit to Dubai. The room was large, comfortable and quiet (except on the last night, when repairs seemed to be in progress in a nearby room: drilling and hammering throughout the night). Breakfast was an excellent start to the day. The metro station is just a ten minute walk away, and the museum and other heritage sites are all within easy walking distance. The staff were efficient and welcoming without being intrusive. We would certainly stay here again and agree with all the positive comments about this hotel on Trip Advisor.

We stayed in the Arabian now every year for past 5 years and truly love this hotel, it's very friendly, clean, great location in Dubai.

This time we checked in 20.11.13 and stayed for 2 nights, just happened to have a most horrendous storm with fork lightening & thunder, lighting up the sky resulting in flash floods. Needless to say the hotel was thankfully water tight and staff did everything and more to ensure we made our way to the airport on time. Thankfully the storm passed and flight took off on time.

Food excellent, service as always wonderful, thank you also for remembering our 11th wedding anniversary and arranging a beautiful chocolate cake in our room when we arrived, lovely touch and fab stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in room on 1st floor room 106 and can recommend.

Lovely hotel, right opposite the Dubai Museum. Room was comfortable and staff were pleasant. Several restaurants in tne building, including an English Pub (Sherlock Holmes). Older style hotel, but comfortable nonetheless and situated beautifully for Bur Dubai. Over the road from the museum; two minutes walk from Basatkiya; five minutes' walk to the Creek, the Abra station or the Textile markets.

Supermarket nearby and some souvenir shops.

Staff were nice, but check-in was a bit slow (mostly as we arrived early, but they seemed to have lots of people in a similar situation. Might be best to arrive at check-in time (of 2 pm) or later.

Overall, good value, and more interesting than Downtown Dubai.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the museum; other side a lot less interesting.

The suite was big and beautiful, the huge bed so comfortable. with free internet all the time, friendly staff, very good location if you are looking for historical places, the room was clean, the bathroom is also well cleaned. a short drive to major malls in Dubai fro the hotel. 100% sure, i will come back to this hotel next time.

Room Tip: The suits where located in 5th floor are great!
