“Good Hotel right in the airport”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Had a long layover of 13 hours in Dubai and since the cost of lounges and this Hotel almost amount to the same AND Emirates could not provide free acco in their Hotel (which they normally do in case of layovers more than 6 hours - Only gave me a Free Meal voucher for dinner), checked into this Hotel.
Good, clean and easily accessible to the gates. And yet secluded and quiet.
One can get almost the same Hotels in the city at cheaper rates - but the convenience of not going out, taking a taxi plus the time saved in returning back to the airport makes this a better option in case your layovers are more than 6 hours and that too during the night.

On registering, some extra was processed onto the bill which seemed a bit high for the ‘tourist tax suck’, but one was a compliant captive by then - having been softened up by hours of cramped flight followed by a dark and crowded bus ride across ages of tarmac. We ended up in a non-exec room 3rd floor, which just clung to 4 star, imo. Floor felt like a better hen house (or privatised correction centre for white-collar crime), processing through a cylinder or tube, with long long corridor one side, digs the other. Glassed-in corridor o/looked shops and thoroughfare, room o/looked an eating area. Expecting something special for the price I was underwhelmed, especially when b’fast not included – reception said we should have booked through them to have got it: well, I believe we did book from their website. Their fruit plate held us over next morning. Room dark no traffic noise. Shower a bit hard to fathom. Beds/pillows super, we slept deeply.
Next morning had a look at the female spa/pool which was on same floor but a long walk down similar opposite corridors – bit disorienting. Spa looked inviting but space was fully enclosed and felt a bit suffocating. Also a bit spooky if you’re the only one there. The escort for disabled passenger was well handled.

I stayed here after yet another stop-over in Dubai, it's not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for. Obviously this hotel has the best proximity for stop-overs being inside the security zone so no need to go through security once getting off the plane.

The staff are great, very friendly and helpful.

The room was a good size, very clean, comfortable. The bed was very comfortable after my 15 hour flight.

.....oh and they have good TV channels.

We booked this hotel to break a long flight to Hong Kong and it was an excellent idea. We had been in touch with the hotel and asked if they would send someone to meet us when we landed. As per their email one of their hotel staff was at the arrivals gate to meet us and he got us swiftly and easily through the airport and within 20 minutes we were checking in on the Executive floor. It is well worth asking to be met. It is a big airport and after a 7 hour flight it was nice not to have to struggle to find our way to the hotel. Being airside you don't get your checked in luggage so we packed gym and swimming kit. The hotel provides a very acceptable selection of toiletries and towels are available at the gym and the pool. So to the hotel. The reception staff were top class. Check in was swift and straight forward - beverages were offered as we sat being registered. We were escorted to our room on the Executive floor - well worth paying the extra as it is quiet and there is a very pleasant bistro serving complimentary food and drinks all day long - and what a delight. An enormous room with everything one would need including an amazing massage chair! Our room 2426 was quiet, spotlessly clean and the bathroom was magnificent. The pool, spa and gym are on the floor below. Flying Business Class we could choose to eat in the business lounge but the food in the hotel was delicious and there are four or five restaurants in the airport should you wish to eat there instead .It was actually good fun playing the Tom Hanks character in "Terminal" and we spent a most enjoyable few hours browsing the many shops in the terminal building...and there are quite a few to visit! If we are passing through Dubai again we will definitely stay in this hotel and we recommend it to you without hesitation.

Highly recommended way to break a long haul flight. The complementary meet and greet service at the gate was faultless and very welcome given my flight arrived at 3am local time. Within 15 minutes of leaving the aircraft I was in my hotel room. Room was very quiet, spotlessly clean and a good size. I gave details of my flights the hotel staff and they made sure I was booked into the right concourse hotel and it was only a short walk from the hotel lift to my gate for the next flight. I had a 10 hour stop over and the hotel is certainly not the cheapest but for me it was worth the money for the convenience vs a hotel outside of the airport.

This was our second stay at the Dubai International and again, we were very pleased with our experience. The primary attraction is proximity given the hotel is on the airline side of customs and immigration so there's no hassle getting to it.

This time we opted for the Exec Floor which included access to drinks, dinner and breakfast. The bed was great, the pillows divine and the bath deep. We even had a massage chair! The staff were welcoming and very helpful.

On both visits we had the meet and greet service - very nice to be guided through what is a very large airport, particularly after 13 hours on a plane. We used the gym for the first time this visit as well - it's not large but was well equipped.

Because of the length of our stopover, our airline offered free accommodation at a hotel offisite but getting through customs on our previous trip took close to 2 hours - with travel to and from and the need to check back in, it didn't make a lot of sense. At $300 for an 11 hour stopover, it wasn't cheap but in our view, well worth the expense for the convenience and the services provided.

We were in transit at Dubai Airport en route from Auckland to Cape Town which was a very long trip. We hired a room for an hour so we could have a shower to freshen up. The rooms were clean, light and spacious and the service was exceptional. We were met at the terminal and taken to the hotel which was very appreciated. I would definitely stay here again, even to hire a room to freshen up.
