Dear Jill K,

We are honored to be the first review you wrote on tripadvisor. The word oasis can characterize our hotel; the trees, courtyards and birds.

It is my duty to serve the guests and try to meet their demands. It is only possible when my dedicated team supported me at all fronts.

Enjoy Paris and the beauty of Europe and when passing over Dubai, stay with us again.

Sincerely,

Iwan Yamin

Crossing the threshold of the XVA is like stepping into another world within Dubai.. All the outside noise disappears and all you can hear are birds chirping in the trees in time to the music playing softly in the background.. It really is an oasis of calm in a city that is constantly running at full speed.. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are quirky and oh so comfortable.. Everywhere you turn there is another interesting piece of art to investigate, or another little nook to sit down, kick your shoes off and relax in.. We loved our breakfasts of pancakes, date honey and fresh fruit, with labneh and pita bread.. And the salads, mezza plates, fresh mint lemonade etc from the vegetarian restaurant were just what needed after three weeks in Scotland :) the location is perfect for exploring the souk, galleries and best of all the museum. What a surprise that place is.. Can't wait to go back again to explore all the things we didn't have time to do this time. Do yourself a favour and stay at the XVA Art Hotel.. It's an experience not to be missed..

Good day Lynn H,

We love the way you described our hotel - so poetic and inviting for other travellers.

Yes, for some - Vegetarian meals can be refreshing in the carnivore world. At this moment we are looking for some creative new dishes for our menu - inspired by local produce and food culture.

Lynn H - you are now officially a fan of XVA and we will welcome your return to our hotel with open arms and smile.

Happy travelling,

If only for one night at the XVA, a trip to Dubai is so worth it. A charming heritage property that is galaxies away from all that is tall, glitzy and blingy, the XVA is a delightful experience. The staff are wonderful, the vegetarian cafe/diner is a dream and the rooms are old-world perfect. Located smack in the middle of Bur Dubai, next to the Creek, it is conveniently situated to access the old nooks, corners and treasures of Dubai. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: It's better to opt for a room that's on the first level and not on the ground floor.

Dear LadyAndal,

We love your compact review - up beat and tells all there is to tell about our hotel and the area

Since you live in Dubai, you should indulge some lunches at our cafe again. Bring your friends and family - enjoy the heritage of Dubai in style.

Have a pleasant day.

What a lovely experience to stay at the XVA Art Hotel.
From booking the hotel by email to the very early return journey some nine days later it was with some sadness to leave behind such an oasis as XVA.
The welcome & surroundings plus the ever helpful staff make this a must for the quieter stay in Dubai.
The location is ideal being so close to the Creek too.
I would strongly recommend the hotel in every way.
We will be back

Loved it. Dubai needs more of this discrete comfy calm (agree with a previous reviewer that this place reminds me of a modest Moroccan riad) as an alternative to all the super bling and OTT lux hotels. The light healthy vegetarian meals are what I needed after 3 solid weeks of heavy Iranian meaty stews and kebabs. Iwan, the Hotel Manager made my stay though. Was travelling solo on a stopover and Iwan, the hotel manager was always ready for a chin-wag on Dubai happenings, what to see, eat & do (he "made" me walk along the corniche instead of the lazy metro option - eventhough nearly died from heat exhaustion very glad I did it - even advise alternative route to avoid hawker harassment through the souk - also the marathon 5 1/2 hour Frying Pan Food recommended by Iwan is a must). All the staff here are friendly and dedicated (Iwan replied to an email immediately at midnight and organised for someone to walk me to the road at 6am to hail a taxi to the airport). Also had a pedi in XVA and it was a pity I did not have tone for a massage (Iwan claimed that it was the best massage in Dubai) Really enjoyed my stay but I think it the insight if the staff who made my stay. Have recommended to all my friends.

Konichiwa NCHMelbourne,

I am very grateful with your personal review. Iwan is just doing his job and a few times, he goes the extra mile to please the guests.

It is now proven that the people make the establishment not the other way around.
My staff and I are here to serve our guests - with smile and little attention that the guests deserve.

Well, you should certainly come back as Dubai has great new hotspots for you to discover.

Have a great day and stay positive!

Having made several trips to the Emirates, we were looking for a different experience during a short 1 week break in the region.
This place is totally unusual in Dubai, closer to a french "Hotel de Charme" and miles away from the huge unpersonal glass towers of the Mega city.
If you don't need a pool, look for a quiet spot, definitely chose this location. It is great. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful in any situation.
Good breakfast in a patio and location in a pedestrian zone close to the creek.

Room Tip: Ask for room number 1 at the first floor.
