“Not Worth Visiting”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

I'm really disappointed to visit there, I was expecting a lot but place to keep animals / birds was miserable (exp. ostrich / gorillas / monkeys ), very congested cages, smelly environment, no cleanliness.

its worst attractions in dubai so far I've visited, In short you won't feel good visiting there.

“Things To Consider For The New Zoo, In Addition To Dubai Styled All Outs”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2014 via mobile

Maximum captivity periods of months or less, a few Vienna Beef hot dog carts (Chicago style hot dogs) in addition to other food and drink vendors, including ice-cream ones, mist stations every so many yards, shops selling zoo and animal stuff, an interactive petting zone, where people and kids get to interact with and pet small critters, lizards, and furbies, a 21 hole nature themed miniature golf course, an arcade (gigantic of course), cafes, gigantic centerpiece fountain (grassy park surrounded), nature themed laser tag, massive pool area with kids pool too, insect world with insect habitats, restaurants, picnic table area, waterslides, roller coasters, a theater for shows, rided tours with drop offs and pick ups at habitats, fishing pond where you can rent or bring your own bait & tackle, nature IQ center where you get tested on what you learned from the info displays, craft center where you get to make nature craft, long range golf where you get to see how far you hit golf balls, carnival games section with 1,109 carnival games where you win stuffed animals gigantic to small, depending on the skill set necessary, pet lodge for pets, spa, foot spa, massage parlour, horse back riding park, camel riding park, go-cart park, magic shop with live demonstrations, magic shows for kids and adults (two separate shows), clay shooting, 43 hole golf course, waterbaloon fun world with a nature inspired theme with three floors of waterbaloon launching fun with a center courtyard, showers, napzone, bike rentals or bring your own, coin operated lockers big enough for gigantic prizes, elephant ears, funnel cakes with soft serve icecream on top with all the toppings including hot fudge and caramel, cotton candy, a gigantic kiddie carnival with kiddie rides including bumpercars, a gigantic indoor plant and tree botanical garden with informative species and habitat tags, a gigantic herb and spice botanical garden with countries of origin and informative description tags, a gigantic floral botanical garden, (we're talking in orders of hectares each to cover all the major and exotic plant, tree, and herb species on all continents -must be housed in different buildings instead of crammed into one), a microbe and physiology center with microscopes and slides where you can also view live protozoa and other microbes and microscopic creatures and phenomenon, bumperboats, an interconnecting system of huge canals and canal walks where you get to travel by jetskis to the habitats and attractions, canal boat tours and drop offs/pickups, a connecting jetski park (must be huge enough) that surrounds the entire zoo where you can really go jetskiing, loungezone, and a churro stand. Of course, with gigantic habitats, including saltwater aquariums, freshwater aquariums (gigantic mazes of acrylic of course), dolphin shows, orca shows, seals, otters, the whole shebang, everything the world's biggest. Any other ideas anyone had to throw in, feel free. This will be the basic zoo. The other zoo should be structured like Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, with hotels and such. Feel free to add on.

“good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2014

the dubai zoo is very cheap to enter most of the animals looked well kept but i do dislike great apes and big cats being caged not alot of information on the animals being kept , some members of the public nead to be taught how to behave and show a little respect , could do with some modernisation and is an old style zoo which could not compare with some other zoos ive visited but space is a premium there good afternoon out didnt see refreshments or tea room ok visit

“Shame. Pure human shame.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2014

Shame on you Dubai.

Shame on you with all your lavish spending, this is what you present to the world? This is what you think even of your own proud wildlife?

I don't know where to start. How can I be respectful to the rulers of the United Arab Emirates but at the same time describe exactly what I feel for this horrible place?

This is quite possibly the worst attraction I have ever been to. By far. I could think of a number of great titles for this review: 'Go here if you hate animals.' 'This place is why intelligent life has never made contact.' 'Want to learn how to ruin majesty? Come see!'

Most of the descriptions allude to or even clearly state that the animals on display were confiscated. Former mistake pets for mindless wealthy people.

I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this place. Pathetic.
