We chose to stay at this hotel due to close proximity to places we wanted to visit - The Burj, Dubai Mall, restaurants etc. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional and every assistance was provided to make our stay a fantastic experience. We booked a Planet Desert Safari at the tour desk and the attendant confirmed with us within very short time (btw the safari is worth doing). On the day we were to be picked up for the safari we had ordered lunch in the restaurtant and when it looked like we were going to be short for time they packed it all in takeaway containers for us. The breakfast was excellent with the omelettes etc cooked by a very nice Nepalese chef!! Nothing too much trouble here at this hotel. Thank you so much for wonderful service. Get over the bathroom, just a different experience.

We received stellar service for the whole visit! The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice and fairly large with comfortable beds in which we slept quite well. But....the room design is terrible. The bathroom is in the middle of the bedroom with only thin glass walls and door separating the toilet activities from the rest of the room, affording you zero privacy. Same deal with the shower. So, I would not recommend these rooms for anyone but couples. Otherwise, it would make for some very awkward situations. We were there as a couple and would definitely stay there again due to all of the great things the hotel has to offer. We had been paying a corporate rate which included free breakfast. The breakfast was tasty with a wide variety including made to order omelettes! On our last day, we had to check out at 5:30 am so they brought breakfast to our room at 5:00 for free. The location is great; right across the street from the Dubai mall. And it was 5 star service!

Nice boutique hotel in the downtown area. Very close to the Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and The Palace Hotel. Rooms are nice and cozy. Rooms have open bathrooms (little too open for comfort). Breakfast and food is ok and sufficient. The room we stayed was facing the Burj Khalifa so the view was excellent.

Room Tip: Select a room facing the Burj Khalifa

I stayed at the Al Manzil hotel in Dubai for two weeks on a business trip.
It is in an excellent location as it is a short walk to the Dubai Mall where you can get a large variety of food and if you don't mind walking it is close enough to the Burj Khalifa.
The room I was in was very comfortable and well serviced and the staff were extremely friendly. Also the breakfast menu had a good variety of food likewise the afternoon and evening meal.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai

Plus:
Location - about 400 metres from the Dubai Mall (a beautiful walk through the Palace Hotel grounds and then either through the Bahir Mall or around the lake). A lovely stroll in the afternoon for coffee and cakes at Magnolia Bakery or the Armani Caffee, and again in the evening at one of the numerous and varied restaurants at the mall.
Staff – first-rate: always anticipating our needs and always genuinely welcoming. A credit to the hotel and management.
Internet – this was a working holiday for us, and we were pleased to discover that the hotel is now served by free wifi throughout; we could even access the internet from the pool area. While not as fast as our connection at home, it was easily adequate for our needs and totally reliable; we enjoyed 100% up-time during our week’s stay.
Minus:
Pool – pool area is badly designed and too small. Only eighteen loungers serve the whole hotal, causing queues to form at busy times; there is not even a grassed area to lay towels as an alternative. The excellent pool staff do their best, but there is tension at times, and problems are inevitable. Another dozen loungers should be brought in and would not cause overcrowding.
Room – much has been written regarding the room layout. Imagine a normal hotel room, then imagine the walls removed and you will get the idea. No privacy is possible at all in the bath; the shower and toilet are surrounded only by semi-opaque glass. There are times when even the most intimate of couples want their privacy, and this needs to be respected. It is a little like sleeping in a bathroom – the strange gurgling noises occasionally coming from the wash-basin not helping our sleep. The temperature of the room is set too low in our opinion. It is not possible to heat the room higher than this low limit meaning we needed to wear warm clothes while in the room. I do not understand why we should not be able to turn up the heat is we are cold. On the plus side, the room was of good size, had a large and very comfortable bed, and had a good range ot TV channels.
Overall:
An excellent hotel in its class representing good value for money. We would not hesitate to stay here again when choosing this location and price band.
