Owner description: Described as both a ‘Vertical City’ and ‘A Living Wonder,’ Burj Khalifa, developed by Dubai-based Emaar Properties PJSC, is the world’s tallest building. Rising gracefully from the desert, Burj Khalifa honours the city with its extraordinary union of art, engineering and meticulous craftsmanship. At 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), the 200 plus storey Burj Khalifa has 160 habitable levels, the most of any building in the world. The tower was inaugurated on January 4, 2010, and is responsible for a number of world-firsts. The tower became the world’s tallest man-made structure just 1,325 days after excavation work started in January 2004. Burj Khalifa utilised a record-breaking 330,000 cubic metres of concrete; 39,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement; 103,000 square metres of glass; and 15,500 square metres of embossed stainless steel. The tower took 22 million man hours to build.

The elevator is a technological marvel. It travels to the 124th observation deck in about a minute, and you don't even feel it move. The views are impressive and are worth seeing.

“Beautiful View”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Awesome place. We got there at 5pm so we could get a view during the daytime. Spent the next hour and a half till the sun set so we could see the night lights - glad we picked this time to get best of both times.

The tallest tower in the world. A long walk before you get to the lift. Sight of city for the top were good, apart from the heat film over the city.

“Quite an experience, plan ahead and enjoy”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

I went in for the 11:30 show, bought tickets online. The crowd was not heavy and so I spent quite a while at the top. Slowly the crowd started building up by 1 PM. First thing to note is that there is no pressure on the people at the top to leave the place so it gets crowded. Try to go for an early visit and on a Non Friday (is what a localite told me). The elevator moves at 10 m per second and you go to floor 124 in less than a minute. Once there you can go to the outside and feel the air at the top. They took a picture of me and my family and on the way down they told me it costs some 200 dirhams or something like that. That is a steal. All the mementos are highly pricey. Go get them in a local store for a dollar. On the way down i glanced at a restaurant that charges AED100 for a pizza. hmmm. OVerall a grand building., I was hoping they had an Engineer's tour - where is the poewr plant, how they pump water so high, do they trap the moisture... hopefully they will have this one day and I will go there again,

“Imressive”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Very efficient staff processing the queues and a comfortable amount of people allowed at the top at any one time. A little difficult to find entrance from being dropped off by a taxi in basement car park of Dubai Mall.
