Trying to find some less positive elements, the views from the pool area are a little industrial and the city is a short taxi ride away but taxis are one of the few cheap items in Dubai! The decor, staff and food are all top class and the rooms have all the extras which mark this hotel as a genuine 5 star. It is not the highest rated hotel in Dubai but based on the experiences of our group of 6 I wonder how any other hotel can rate higher.

Modern and smart rooms with a very beautifull view...
Connect to the Dubai festival mall - Great experience.
Only the swimming pool is to small for the size of the hotel.
Other than that everything was great - Breakfast unique experience...
Very friendly and helpfull staff- Congrats to all of them...

This wonderful hotel connects to the Dubai Festival City Mall which is very convenient! The hotel itself is modern and service is wonderful. The rooms were spacious and well decorated and the breakfast is by far the best breakfast I have ever had in any hotel! I would recommend this hotel to any traveler any time. Don't worry about the location; everything is just a short taxi ride away and for first time visitors: there's a 'hop-on-hop-off' bus stop nearby!

I stayed at this hotel for a family Christmas holiday for a week. Two days have been dedicated to Dubai-related activities (desert safari, city tour) and the rest to relax and sunbathing.

First, the good.

The service in the hotel is excellent. The staff is always helpful, smiling and will go the extra mile for you. Our one bedroom suite was spacious, tastefully decorated (unlike other really kitch and expensive hotels in Dubai). The amenities and service items (towels and so on) was more than sufficient. An evening turn down service is available.

We tried a few of the restaurants/bars available:

- Anise: buffet. I wouldn't really recommend it. The buffet is somewhat expensive and limited on choices (unless you play on having just dessert for dinner!).
- Pool bar: good value for money, all the food we had was tasty and very well suited to be consumed by the pool.
- Eclipse champagne bar: overpriced. Take a taxi and go to the Buddha Bar for some nightlife instead.
- Reflettes: in one word, amazing. See my specific review for it for details.
- Room service: large selection of food, we did it twice and it has been delivered in time, hot and it was tasty as well.

We didn't try the other restaurants, but there are 3 more: lebanese, french and japanese.

Now, the bad.

One of the reasons for this trip was relaxation. We knew the hotel wasn't by the seaside, but didn't realize the swimming pool was so small. You can barely have a swim, and if there's more than a few people inside, it feels crowded. If you're looking for a resort like structure, this is not the right place.

It's been mentioned in other reviews as well, there is construction all around. Yes, it's Dubai. Still, it feels much more empty/ugly than other areas. I personally didn't mind, but some might dislike seeing a lot of construction work and the city skyline in the distance.

In general, a great hotel. Definitely recommended for business or for a short visit for Dubai. If you're looking for a resort, there might be other options.

Stayed in IC Dubai for honeymoon.. picked the club room which included round trip airport transfer.

Arrived Dubai at 7am.. greeted by hotel staff at airport then travelled to the hotel in a Lexus LS460. We were welcomed at the hotel door and escorted direct to the room for in-room check-in. Big + for this given that was 7 in the morning and after a 7 hours overnight flight from Paris.

Hotel room was good though windows needed more frequent cleaning. Bed was comfortable as usual and toilet was another IC standard (with Elmis amenities here).

Club lounge had a nice view - on the 26th floor with full Dubai city view. Breakfast, afternoon tea, happy hour was good. Though we want to try the breakfast in the main restaurant but we were told Club lounge was the only choice.

The hotel seated in the newly developed area. It is connected to the Festival City shopping mall with ~550 shops. But if you want to visit the bigger one with 1200+ shops - the Dubai Mall, it will take you ~10 mins (or 20 AED by taxi).

Our stay at this hotel was only for a few days, but it was an impressive stay. Our room was on one of the top floors with magnificent views and overlooking the airport. The hotel had recently been opened and not all the facilities were available. However the staff was very professional and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was a real treat with food from around the world. The outdoor pool is a special experience.
