My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas. The room is fantastically bright and sunny. So many places in the Middle East are dark despite year-round sun outside. There was a lovely comfy sofa in the window and the most fab bath by the window of the bathroom which fills from a tap in the ceiling!! Nearby ( just a short walk along the water) is 'More' restaurant for delicious food and lovely staff.

If you go to Dubai, this Hotel is a great place to stay. New, well designed and decorated, very pleasant staff, a magnificent swimming pool, and outstanding view of the city.

A must!!!

We visited many hotels whilst in Dubai including the 7 star Burj Al Arab and i can say without a shadow of a doubt that the InterContinental was by far the best. We had a suite of which the size was comparable to a Las Vegas suite - ie HUGE!! It was a lovely room and the bathroom was amazing, definitely worth plumping for a suite.

The on site restaurant, Reflet was nice enough but for a michelin starred restaurant i would have expected to enjoy the food more but thats just my taste! The staff in the restaurant were probably the best i have encountered, absolutely fantastic.

The location was in terms of a mall and many restaurants within a minutes walk. None of these restaurants served alcohol though so we didnt go in any. You will need to get cabs everywhere but they are so cheap it is no hardship. The pool area in the hotel is also very nice.

The bar in the hotel, Vista, served great cocktails and had a nice balcony area. I would also recommend the Cafe Madeline for breakfast. I was not enamoured with the fish restaurant in the hotel, the shisha was the best thing here!!

Check out Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, Verre, in Hilton Dubai Creek, fabulous although quite costly - £200 a head with a mediocre bottle of wine.

Overall, Dubai is a fantastic place to visit, but you only need 4-5 days to see everything. The hotel was fantatsic and we would highly recommend it.

Second stay at this hotel and it is great to see it's character emerging. All the excellent reviews are spot on. It is located very centrally for malls, gold souk etc and has the added bonus of the walkway to the Festival City mall just 2 minutes away. There you have hundreds of restaurants, shops and activities on your door step. To the hotel itself, the highlight must be the staff and the standard of service they deliver. We had access to the Club Lounge on the 26th floor which provides breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapes (understates things as there is a chef on hand and a daily tasting dish from one of the restaurants). In addition fine wines and champagne is on tap to accompany your food! The staff in the lounge offer a personal service. I would also like to commend Kate Davison, who heads up the front desk services. Her personal interest in her guests and attention to detail were incredible. In summary, a truly first class hotel for a luxurious holiday or business trip.

The ICDFC is a modern, well designed, well appointed hotel with a great bar and awesome breakfast buffet.

The location isn't great [you'll have to get a cab to anywhere other than festival city] but the mall next door is pretty convenient.

Thankfully, this ISN'T one of those old schoool hotels that tries to scam you out of money by over charging for every little detail. Internet in the lobby is free and the price of drinks and food is pretty reasonable.

We had a one night stay here en route home to London from Mumbai. It's a beautifully designed hotel with genuinely stylish rooms, spacious with great views. The welcome too was excellent. My only (tiny) gripe is that the rooms are slightly showing their age - a scuff here, a chip there. But otherwise I would say the equal of the far more expensive The Address which we stayed in last time, where the service was much less friendly.

Lovely new hotel attached to a mall. The only complaint is not being able to get a credit when I was overcharged for a meal. I tried several times to no avail
The other thing I did not like was the bathtub filled from the ceiling messy and the tub had a drain in the center of it that was not comfortable sitting on. Service was great. Gym facility was very small.
