Its my first time to drop by this mall though this is the very first thing you'd see coming out of the bus (from Abu Dhabi) besides the themed park appearance i havent really tried to see whats inside. so there i went to check it out.

From the outside, its top of the line, it bests any theme park around. from the view alone you have to ready enough memory because every angle is worth the shot. i havent seen the propert during night time but i can already imagine its worth to see. the property has good facade area, so going around outside is good and easy. it makes you wonder what to see inside.

To be honest i thought it would be a total turn around at the inside, modern looking and strong lights (as any other mall now adays would look) but like my title they took the theme seriously, the interior was awesome, from the outside there was like 3-4major themes but the inside contained like 7or8 every stretch from store entrance to ceiling decor and painting was on motif. centerpieces go along the theme and every court or hall has a very huge exhibit. (please check the pictures) way beyond on what youd see on a normal shopping mall. you wont feel tired on walking since every corner offers a new view. not to mention every section has starbucks. exhibits along the way and decors have writings that are really nice to spend some time on. complimented with updated store lines, good brands managements has really place good money on the right places.

one thing i would like to comment on would be the washroom areas. if they can be renovated to accommodate larger number of people and clealiness to be observed or renovate them to theme as well would really be good. :) i dont if i just havent notice but stores are not in line or grouped as well (sports area, garments/clothing, high end brands) if they could also place directions like the ones on the road, so to add more feeling of the 'traveler' effect would really be nice.

but all in all this is a good place to drop by band come back. the chinese, asian restaurant area was also a good venue to both eat and explore!

ill upload photos soon. im on a point and shot since i really didnt plan on going so apologies for the clarity of the photos.

This mall is located at the metro station, behind Marina in the direction of Abu Dhabi. It consists of six courts,

Egypt Court
India Court
China Court
Andalusia Court
Persia Court
Tunisia Court

Ibn Battuta Mall, the world’s largest themed shopping mall. Having more than 270 shops, 50 restaurants and 21-screen cinema. I advise everyone to visit Battuta Mall by Metro because it is not worth taking a taxi. The metro station is 1 minute from the mall.

Easy to reach and there is a shuttle service to this place from the hotels in town. Please do check schedule in the website. Otherwise cab there from hotel area is around 25 to 30 dirhams depending on which side of the road hotel is located. The biggest attractions in this mall is the different courts and rich architecture. If you get tired walking you can get a "shuttle train" ride as this malll is big and is actually has 7 courts.
There are a number of good souvenir shops and kiosk selling stuff at half the cost of the other tourist places. It is a lot less crowded and easy to get cabs from the entrance of both the Egypt court and China court. Do take tons of photos especially with the huge Chinese junk.
