Expensive place for Bolivia without hot water and bad staff... The breakfast is as bad as the hotel... 2 old small bread with a cup of tea for 160 bolivianos....The room are really small, impossible to move in the room. An advice, DON T GO THERE...

We didnt really like our stay here. Had a twin room, but is was tiny. You couldn't even open the door of the bathroom because the bed stood so close.

There were no Windows in our room and no ventilation in the bathroom. Everything stays wet. Also very low water pressure.

There is no wifi, breakfast is ok.
Staff was the only positive thing! Very friendly and helpfull.

I initially stayed at the Koala Den in Potosi but moved here after one night. This hostel is located in an old, well preserved colonial style building with a lovely courtyard. The staff were friendly and spoke limited English. Breakfast was included and there was a fast (for bolivia) internet connection. I paid 120 Bs for a single bedroom with private bathroom and thought that this was excellent value especially compared to the Koala den where I spent the first night.

We stayed here in mid-November for 3 days in Room 8. The hotel is in an interesting historic building with glass covered courtyards. This creates a greenhouse effect, and in addition the rooms on the ground and 1st floor have no external walls, both of which keep the rooms warm from the cold Potosi nights. The building is quite deep and this distance from the road and the enclosed courtyard make the hotel one of the quietest we experienced in South America.

Beds are comfortable and the buffet breakfast provides a good start to the day. Bathrooms are a bit damp as they do not have proper ventilation but this is a minor gripe with otherwise a professionally run hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

This hotel is an old colonial house which needs a bit of work. The best thing about it is the location (excellent) and the staff who were all very nice.

However the rooms aren't up to scratch. Mine had no external windows and was dark. In fact there was a window between my room and the room next door. It was a clouded window but i could still see the shadow of the guy walking around. If he turned on the light in his room at night my whole room was lit up! Ridiculous. Also the rooms are paper thin so I could here all the goings on in next doors toilet too. Maybe some rooms are better than this I don't know.

Potosi is freezing at night and the are no heaters in the room. Inexplicably the have heaters around the hotel but OUTSIDE the room which is useless.

Rooms are not cleaned during your stay. I couldn't understand what the staff were there for.

Very poor breakfast too.

Would not reccommend.
