“The best in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2013 via mobile

In the poorest state one one of the poorest countries this hotel shines. The staff are warm and friendly and the hotel is spotless and maintained, something not seen yet in Bolivia. Beds great and comfortable. The breakfast was better than average with cooked eggs and a range of fruits. If your not a backpacker and want a nice place to stay or are one and need a nice place this is it. 4 stars.

We got in late on a bus from Uyuni and really wish we could have stayed here longer. The rooms were quite luxurious for the price. We had a sitting area with a t.v. and a large bathroom with bathtub and candles. The staff were helpful - they really don't cater to English speakers but were quite pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

We stayed one night, after a day of touring the town and mine. We caught an early shared taxi from Sucre to get there and found that this worked well in terms of seeing everything we wanted to at Potosi later the same day. The hotel is well located to the city centre, but watch the traffic when trying to get to the bus station in the morning. Unfortunately, Potosi gets badly clogged with traffic. The hotel is really an upmarket hostel. The room was smallish, but everything was clean and worked well. It has tiled floors everywhere which makes it a bit colder and less atmospheric than it would be with carpet. Breakfast was basic but fine, no fresh fruit and a limited range of stuff otherwise. Staff were very helpful, especially with local directions, bag storage and helping to sort out a wrinkle in our onward travel bookings. Stay here with confidence; it is a simple, clean, safe and well located hotel. Staff are great and for a one night stay like we did you will struggle to do better in Potosi we think.

The hotel is in a good location close to the main square. The beds in the room are pretty good but the rooms are very stuff. Most room open onto a central atrium so you can't open the window without the noise echoing and people being able to look in. The shower also leaked over the bathroom and the breakfast is the worst that we have had on our trip, basically just bread with a toaster that doesn't work properly.

The hotel is well located and near all you will want to see in Potosi.
The rooms face an inner courtyard with a fountain in the middle (I think it is a fountain although it was never on). We had a room with a window looking over the street but, as has been mentioned by a previous reviewer, the room was stuffy and we couldn't open the window to let air in.
Also, previously mentioned, there is a disco across the (narrow) road and whats even worse is that it is a karaoke disco! Maybe that's why the window doesn't open! Anyway it could have been because we stayed there on a Friday but it's not a pleasant combination and carries on into the early hours!
The hotel has free WiFi. They do offer eggs for breakfast but not much else. Some English is spoken but not a lot.

Room Tip: Try and choose a room where the windows open and you are not opposite the disco, if such a room exis...

Very close to the central plaza with large modern bathrooms and central heating. Breakfasts do not include eggs but have fruit and yogurt, ham and cheese and bread rolls. My email room reservation gave me a discount on the room price so I only paid B250 per night in May (approx. £25 or $34). Good thing is that they do not require a deposit, but it's essential to request a room on the street with opening windows as their interior rooms get too hot.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the street so that you can open the windows.

We found this hotel to be comfortable and clean but lacking in character. The rooms open off a central courtyard so if you open the window then it could be noisy form other guests. We were not aware of many other guests so there wasn't a noise problem while we were there. Breakfast was OK but nothing special
