“Amazing oasis right outside of Sucre”
Reviewed 23 September 2013

This place is amazing and definitely worth a visit while in Sucre. It is located about 30 minutes from Sucre and easily reachable. A taxi to "Salida a Cochabamba" is 5 Bs. and from there many taxis leave for Las Palmas, the taxi to Las Palmas should be around 50 Bs. Palmas de Agua is an oasis with lush vegetation and a big terrific pool. The entrance fee is 10 Bs to use the pool the entire day, beers are 16 Bs and a burger 12 Bs. The grounds are very well taken care of, so is the pool. Workers clean it throughout the day. My girlfriend and I camped there over the weekend and it was so much fun! Camping is only 15 Bs per person/night. There are BBQs everywhere and you can bring your own food to cook. There are several hammocks under various fruit trees. I would highly recommend anyone to go for a weekend trip to relax, tan and swim!

We got lucky finding this place and we got the last day they opened before closing for June,July,August. It is a beautiful family run mini-resort with swimming pool, food & drinks, sports area and lazy hammocks to catch a snooze. The water was hot in may, they said it was hotter other months. The woman of the house cooks great food,a few wine spritzers,a game of vollyball, another soak in the pool and a hammock read.......................what more could you ask for.We wanted to stay the night, but it was their last day til September.I will say transport is an issue, the taxi drivers from Sucre center wouldnt take us,We ended up going in the owners car, they collected us from our hostal and dropped us back aswell. They were organising with taxi's to do the route,so it should done when they reopen.

They do not have a day trip with cafe berlin anymore which was said in a previous review, you have to ring them direct and practice your spanish. We contacted them through facebook(the whole world is on that now) Its a little outside Sucre in a valley 1000 meters below and it is well worth the effort,a relaxed, green oasis that recharges the batteries, enjoy it,safe traavels......................frank.
