We happened to have a 2 x 1 voucher to see the spectacular dance show, so we went along and had some dinner which was not included in the price. The food was fine, nothing to write home about, and with a glass of wine and a beer, came to 125Bs. You can eat for less in Sucre and just come for the show if you want.
...And what a show! We counted 16 dancers performing around a dozen dances from all parts of Bolivia, each one preceded by an explanatory voiceover (translated in your programme). We really felt we had a better feel for the regions represented through the story of each dance. The attention to detail in every costume was impressive, from the special footwear to the hats and hair decorations. Every dancer was expressive, professional, and full of energy. We even had the option to join them for a dance at the end of the night!
A very memorable evening and well worth the ticket price, though consider eating elsewhere if you are budget conscious.
