Description: Felix landrum opened cafe felix with his brothers in 1997. After two years of operating as a european cafe, they acquired a liquor license and added a full menu of european bistro-inspired food. The felix menu offers delicious and versatile small plates, hearty main dishes, sweet and savory crepes, a variety of sandwiches and homemade soups, six different preparations of p.e.i. Mussels, and a scrumptious breakfast menu (served on saturday's and sunday's).

“Tasty, enjoyable happy hour deals. Service pleasant but inconsistent. European flair.”
Reviewed 27 November 2013 via mobile

Cafe Felix has a European vibe, (but hip) and its main kitchen is open later than almost anyone else in downtown A2. Generally tasty. Good bread-ask for some.. Happy hour has good deals. Yummy gourmet pizza's are half off. $3 Rum and coke! $5 Bloody Mary and Mohito. I had a tasty Bombay Sapphire Martini, Up, -worth full price! 2.5 rounds of drinks, two appetizers for four =$75 during happy hour. Will go back.

“Nice surprise”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

We had brunch here the other day and were truly impressed. The selection was great and the food was wonderful. They even had made to order omelets. The hands down winner was the waffles. We would definitely come back here again.

“French Comfort Dining”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

Cafe Felix is an intentional French bistro, which seems to have as its only objective a happy dining experience. The onion soup is terrific, the steak frites is highly flavorful and the wine list is small but very intelligent in matching the food. (The corkage fee is $15, but don’t bother. You can be sure to find something good and reasonable on this list.) The pear crepe was a disappointment but totally offset with the discovery that they had just added Calvados to the spirits list. The servers are friendly, warm, informed and prompt. They seem to work well as a team. From the “bon accqueil” when you enter to the chorus of thank yous on departure, the atmosphere is wonderfully casual and relaxed. The décor is traditional with large mirrors, oversize posters and fun murals. This is the place to go for comfort dining when you just want to unwind unhassled.

“New chef is a keeper!”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Four of us just had a delicious dinner at Felix: they started us with an amuse bouche of spicy ceviche followed by a bread basket with perfectly crusty french bread with truffle butter and cinnamon butter pats. I went for the filet mignon (a not unreasonable $29) which came on a bed of savory greens and piped potatoes with horseradish. There were baby beet greens as a garnish - so small that they looked like tiny clover - all resting on a rich brown sauce. Fantastic!
The other meals looked equally delicious: huge scallops, seared steak, and flounder. We shared two desserts: chocolate mouse and a flan with berries. Wow. We'll be back.

“Much improved with new management”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

In 2011 I wrote a review that praised the food but was highly critical of the service and management. Because of the latter, I vowed then never to return, although I love the quirky Fench Bistro ambience and location. Then i read an ad in the paper that said, "Give us another chance.....new head chef and management." So I did and I was delightfully surprised. The food was good although I didn't see some of my old favorites on the menu, but the most important change was the service! Attentive without being obtrusive.....ideal in every way. I am so happy to see this change, as I have missed going back there...but I'll eat there much more regularly. Keep up the good work!
