“I love their Cilantro Chicken”
Reviewed 22 October 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

Their Cilantro Chicken is good and overall their Vietnamese food will meet your fix for Pho. But it's not necessarily my first choice. I never order Chinese food from here.

“Lunch at Saigon Garden Ann Arbor”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

My first visit to Ann Arbor USA.
Pleasant, fast service, food is ok by my standards. Not expensive.
Would recommend if in Ann Arbor and looking for Asian food that is not expensive.
Do note menu is limited and serve Vietnamese/Chinese style?

“Great selection of well prepared food”
Reviewed 11 December 2012

We were staying in Ann Arbor for several weeks and had take out from here a couple of times, based on the choice of our daughter and son-in-law who live there. The food was very good; I especially loved the Cold Noodles with Sesame. The portions were generous and the leftovers never lasted very long.

“Great place near campus for a hot, tasty, filling lunch”
Reviewed 2 September 2012

Saigon garden started life as a Chinese restaurant under a different name, then morphed into one serving both Chinese and Vietnamese food, but has retained its Chinese menu, from which I always order. I have been here for both lunch and dinner, and woud have to say that the dinner experience is fairly average, but the Chinese lunch specials are great. You get a large, well-filled and well-prepared plate that includes the main entree, fried rice, an egg roll, and your choice of soup. I particularly recommend the almond boneless chicken.

This place is just two blocks off the University of Michigan's Central Campus, and is a popular lunch spot, so you may have to wait if you go there during the regular school year at the customary lunch hour; seating is somewhat limited.

Also, the address is somewhat odd, since the restaurant is not actually on South University Avenue, but rather a half block or so on the west side of Forest south of its intersection with South U. Look for the awning above your head with the restaurant's name on it. If you're not looking up, it can be easy to miss if you are on foot.

“good, fresh food”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

We have found this to be a solid neighborhood restaurant with fresh ingredients and good service. We usually order the Chinese items; we like the summer rolls and hot and sour soup too.
