Nicole was a very nice person to converse with as we were greeted upon entering the hotel. The rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. The fitness center closing at 11pm is slightly annoying but overall a good stay!!

I brought a group of students to stay here one night before we visited the universities and colleges in the areas. Bad decision. I was not aware that this location was be renovated nor was this mentioned when I booked. They placed us on the floor where the renovations were taken place. High school student and renovations...not a good idea. One of the rooms locked the students out all night and after unsuccessfully not being able to the open the door, I had to rearrange sleeping arrangements for the students because I had a group of students with no where to sleep. On the other hand, this hotel need to be renovated. The rooms that were renovated were very nice. Just be aware and ask if they are still renovating before you book!

We found our room to be in very good condition, convenient and quiet. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accomodating, particularly in our group using the conference room for a post swim event eating of carbs and getting the food ready to do so. Convenient distance to Eastern Michigan Natatorium was ideal.

The hotel is very easy to get to, and close to restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would've given this hotel a five-star rating, except there was gray scummy stuff in the hot tub that i didn't see until i turned my head..yuck!! by then, i was already 'exposed' for at least 20 minutes...at breakfast, I found it annoying that staff were taking a break in the breakfast area--not a big deal, except they were all talking so loud i couldn't hear the weather on the television..

I stayed here for one night with my wife while we were attending Michigan sporting events. Based on some of the other reviews I expected the worst but was pleasantly surprised.

Although we had to wait five minutes to check in because the desk person was attending to a situation regarding towels at the pool, she came and even gave us an upgrade to a junior suite on the first floor. The room appeared to be recently updated and had an LCD TV and furnishings that were in just fine condition and a bed that was comfy.

There are some issues - the parking lot which this hotel shares with the Days Inn next door, which looks to be in deplorable shape as its been for years, is too small for these two hotels when they're both booked. There's barely enough parking. The breakfast was sparse and the room isn't that big to hold enough people when the hotel is full. Lastly when we checked out the front desk person was having some trouble with people smoking (not cigarettes) and the smell billowing out into the hall. But in a college town, you're probably going to get that.

Despite those issues this is a perfectly fine spot for a couple nights if you're visiting Ann Arbor. It isn't the most proximite to U of M's campus, but its also cheaper.
