We were here in May 2014.
Pizza was really good, and delivered almost immediately. Really thin crust.
They do have an interesting amount of local beers, and a pretty good amount of liquors such as Fernet, Cynar and Campari, which are not always present in US restaurants.
Atmosphere is good, although from the outside it seemed a little bit less busy.

We had lunch on Tuesday 4/22, the service was excellent-Nick was our server, he is very knowledgeable about wine. We enjoyed a Pinot Grigio from the Veneto region of Italy-superb. Bigalora has wine specials on Tuesday check the details on www.Bigalora.com. We wanted to sample several items, from the Small Plates menu we chose the Risotto Balls(2)-saffron rice, mozzarella, peas and beef bolognese -yummy. From the pizza menu we had the Wood Fired Vegetables pizza it had roasted onions, zucchini, tomato, and mozzarella cheese on thin crust. A complementary garden salad was very good (not the standard lettuce only) salad. We topped off lunch with a fresh crispy Cannoli
and coffee. Believe it or not, but we actually took home half the pizza. We really
enjoyed our pizza lunch and highly recommend Bigalora.

We were in Ann Arbor, and had so many great options for food. Yum, all around. My daughter chose this place to break Passover as she wanted pizza, pasta, and bread. Service was good, plates looked beautiful, but nothing had much taste. I actually asked if the chef was away, as I was surprised how boring many of the dishes tasted (minestrone, lentil/quinoa salad, pizza, etc.). Beer was good, but in town with so many great options, hard to believe that they will be able to attract a regular crowd unless they add more spice to the dishes.

We went to Bigalora on a Friday night during March Madness, so three large tvs were showing games. But you did not hear the noise. And--the odd part--it was not that distracting! Bigalora has a restored warehouse vibe and the most amazing library-like bar I have ever seen in my life--and I am no barfly. The place is bustling, the pizza is wonderful, the spaghetti and meatballs were just right in a childhood memory way.

Please note that the pizza is cooked very quickly in a very very hot stone oven, so it will not be crispy. The toppings are very well paired: we had a chef special with duck confit, arugula, feta cheese and pomegranate jewels that was quite light and bright. The wait staff was very helpful without being overbearing. My only suggestion: they have 48 beers on tap but only one cider. The one cider they have is wonderful, but not for everybody (imagine being a beerdrinker, and your only choice is a rye IPA--you get it now). But we went home with happy tummies, big carry-out boxes, and a promise to go back.

This is a physically very charming and appealing restaurant. We were there for dinner on a sunny day and the sunlight filters through the big windows to give such a nice feel. We enjoyed just being in the place. The bar has a large selection of draft beers and happy hour is 2-4 every day with half off draft beers and wines by the glass. We ordered two pizzas- wood fired in a 900 degree oven with a special dough- delicious- mine had brussel sprouts on it. Wait staff was very helpful. The roasted beet salad was also very good They have some cheese-less and tomato free pizzas too.. Highly recommend!
