It was a long day of driving by the time we arrived at our hotel (over 600 miles in one day). Despite confirming the details of our reservation only two weeks before our arrival, the roll-out bed we ordered was not available and we were advised by the front desk that they were discontinued. I really didn't care what form the extra bed took and so they were able to accommodate the three of us in a room with a pull-out sofa (I don't want to think about what would have happened if the hotel had been fully booked). Here's the kicker: We had to find the sheets, pillows, pillow cases and make up the sofa bed ourselves! Two phone calls to the front desk later, we were at least able to collect all the linens together by delivery from the front desk manager. I don't expect this kind of treatment from a hotel in the Marriott chain and I will make sure not to visit a Fairfield Inn in the future. Ann Arbor is a great city and I plan to return, but I'll be staying somewhere else!

We appreciate all of our customers and their feedback is critical to our overall success. As part of a select service culture, some standard full service amenities, such as a pull out sofa ready for use, is an unfortunate reality for a guest who has so obviously traveled a great distance to reach their destination, and with delight, selected our facility in which to rest. The value in pricing typically found with our select service Fairfield Inn compliments a typical transient guest. There are such times, in this case, where understandably...after a long travel, all our guest likely would like to do is relax. We can appreciate that aspect and continue to push Fairfield Inn amenities to a point that this may not be the case in the future. To keep our pricing attractive to the typical transient select service guest, for now, we have select services that assist in keeping our guests costs down.

I would definatly reccomend this hotel! The location was not within walking distance of the big house... but they have buses that are only 1.50 to ride that take you there every half hour. The staff was overly nice, the decor was beautiful.Pool and hot tub were very clean and relaxing. Very quiet and convienant place to stay. We will stay here every time we visit university of michigan for now on!

The rooms were clean, new, and well-equipped. The beds were quite soft, maybe too soft for some. Many pillows were supplied.

The breakfast was pretty good, including waffles, bacon/egg/cheese biscuits (pre-packaged), instant oatmeal, bagels, muffins, etc. No fresh fruit though. Coffee was only so-so.

The swimming pool and hot tub were great, and not very busy.

The wireless internet did not work anywhere on the property. The hotel seems to be in a dead spot for 3G cell data too, so it was impossible to get any reliable internet connection. This fact alone would cause me to choose another hotel.

One room was very noisy, being right next to a stairwell. Was kept awake until 2am by the stairwell door crashing. Very unpleasant. They should not rent that room at all, or fix the door.

Booked two neighboring rooms through central reservations, but when we arrived were told the rooms were on different floors, and since they were completely full they could do nothing about it. They were very friendly, but the best they could do was one double room for our family of 5 for the first night. For the next two nights they gave us adjacent rooms, but one was too noisy to sleep in!

The hotel has a pool and a very small free breakfast. The best features was the cleanliness of roo. However, the beds in two different rooms were too soft and I could not sleep well. They also carry no PBS station on the cable.

I do a lot of traveline and have stayed in many hotels both within this chain and others. By far the staff at the Fairfield Ann Arbor are the friendliest I have ever seen. Hotel is clean, the pool is great and breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

The front desk was cordial, the hotel room was clean.

Beds were comfortable.

The walls are kind of thin, you can hear everything going on outside. We went on a non football game weekend, and still were a little disturbed by noise.

The bathroom in our room was clean, but very small. The sink was outside in the room, not separated by a wall or anything, which we found to be a bit uncomfortable.

Free wireless and free continental breakfast were good.

If you need a decent place to crash, for an affordable price, this place is fine. Nothing to write home about.
