It was so fun to ride bikes through the campground and see the uniqueness of each site. It would benefit you to look around at different sites, some are very spacious and wooded and others are more in the open. We stayed in 117, next to the bathroom, I was grateful there wasn't any bathroom smell! I recommend looking at the 1-100 sites, they seemed bigger as we rode through. We rode bikes to all the lakes and on some trails. Kids ride freely around the park roads. Very clean. They came around several times a day to take out garbage, refill paper products and mop if needed.

The entire park was very clean. The restrooms are well taken care of, as well as the area around them. The staff we met was kind and informative.
The camp ground layout is very family friendly and safe. My sister and I greatly enjoyed watching all the kids ride bikes past our camp site.
The trails were clean and very easy to follow. Absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful state park located in a richly historic area. Sites are secluded and surrounded by tall trees and shrubs. Bathrooms were clean. Great hiking and biking trails. Eagle Lake provides a very nice beach for swimming. We were very fortunate to be able to witness the meteor shower while camping overnight. This state park will forever be on our "must return" list.

Nice campground. Good sites. Some with pads for campers and some sites for tents. Lots of trees. Many sites had sun full time while others, like ours (site 30) we're mostly shaded, which is what we prefer because of tent camping. Nice fire pits. Had a difficult time with the firewood we bought at the campground's office. Was damp wood that just didn't want to stay lit. Was a bit buggy but being near swampy area, it is to be expected. Two bathrooms for a lot of campsites. Could probably use two more. This campground is alcohol free but the can/bottle donation trailer indicated that people didn't abide by this. Was a quiet park with very little barking by dogs. Small kids crying and whining nearby did cut the quiet of the park. Overall a nice park. A bit of a ride to the lake for swimming which we didn't participate in. Not just for the campers. There are horse trails and mountain biking trails. We saw some horses but no bikers. There are railroad tracks nearby and you do hear the trains, and quite often.

We spent 3 nights here over the 4th of July. This is a great campground. All the site are back-Ins and the back of every site is forest. This is important for privacy. The back of your site does not have the back of another site right there.

There are three lakes in the recreation with one of them having a nice beach. There is also biking on all of the trails so if you like to mountain bike this is the place. There is also a place to put your boat or kayak in the lakes for some fun on the water.

The campground is nice and quiet even on the 4th of July. Overall this camping experience gets a big "thumbs up!"
