We were group of 20 Persons, for lunch in high season (not always easy task). Bernhard and Brigitte were very profi, all planing and comunication was just perfect. Prompt and fast email correspondence with groups was essencial and they did it great. Food was excellent, beautiful even to watch it on the plate, before you could taste it. Wine choice great.

Maybe little bit more smile from the girls they were serving would be even nicer. But all set up, ambiente, view, and especially willingness to help and make our lunch pleasant was perfect.

Thank you Brigitte and Bernhard

We arrived just as the local event resort centre was putting on an air display so all the customers and wait staff were outside on the deck watching the plane swooping over the lake in a breathtaking display.

We went inside for a glass of pear cider and perused the menu. Difficult choices, all were good but my main course of beef cheeks was outstanding as they were melt-in-the-mouth tender. The food here is always beautifully cooked, with good combinations of flavours and is presented well. The wine list is excellent and the ambience is good.

We visited this restaurant for dinner and they offered us a wonderful experience. The meals were full of surprises and special touches. The service was outstanding with great attention to detail. It is a fairly expensive meal but you do get top quality for this.
First came a platter with four different types of bread and three types of butter which was far better than your average serving of breads. It included a red bread we had never seen before but they were all delicious. The butters were plain, sundried tomato and what we think was spinach and sour cream. There was even a small complimentary pot of olives. Then came a taster from the kitchen which was an Austrian style sushi with lake trout in the centre and tasted divine. Then we had excellent asparagus soups with croutons and a soft dumpling. For mains we had trout with saffron risotto and vegies and a lovely steak with vegies and a kind of deep fried dumpling. Everything was fantastic but the meals were massive. It concluded there would be no dessert. They were accompanied by a demi bottle of Riesling which grew with the meal. Well it is a wine bar....
Finished off with espressos which came with a nice chocolate and the most elaborate sugar tray we had ever seen. It was as detailed as a Devonshire tea tray. There were no less than four separate platters of sugar available including a rock sugar that looked like candy. We enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. The only problem being that the al a carte menu was limited in three choices of each course. It would not be a restaurant you could return to. It was a nicely spaced meal so you could appreciate every aspect.

And… an unexpected find in a pretty small town of Sankt Wolfgang. We walked in at the restaurant without a dinner reservation. It was in the early summer, but the weather was pretty chilly outside. The waitress took us to a cozy room tucked in at one side of the restaurant. It was very beautiful, we felt like we were in a private dining room. Two different waitresses helped us and they were very pleasant and service was superb. We ordered taster menu for my husband and I ordered from the menu for myself. The food was not only lovely to look at, it was delightfully delicious. The chef has extraordinary talent to create complex flavors of your every bite. It was the highlight of our trip in Sankt Wolfgang!
