Daddy D's Rocket Diner offers a menu of typical diner food--burgers, fries, bacon and eggs, and several speciality items. all of which are competitively priced. The chef's salad is very good, and the steaks are unusually good quality for this type of modest eatery. The diner is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The furnishings are vintage formica and chrome.
The diner is one of a family of businesses operated by Dennis Hof ("Daddy D") comprising virtually all the facilities located at the junction of US 95 and NV 373. If one wants a drink with one's meal, one may go next door, where there is a full service bar and comfortable lounge, and order from the diner; one's meal will be delivered. Other facilties include a convenience store and a gas station. If one is heading down NV373 to Death Valley, this is the place to fill up; gas in the park will be at least a dollar a gallon more.
