honestly, i don't know what the fuss/negative reviews are about. my husband, myself, and our little pooch stayed for 3 nights in the "eisenhower suite" and had a fabulous time. this was in the carriage house, which is a separate house about 20 feet from the main inn. carriage house has about 6 or so suites. room was spotless, great bed with fresh linens and tons of pillows, a very much welcome 2person jacuzzi tub in the corner of the bedroom, gas fireplace, private porch with 2 person swing, separate bathroom with shower, flat screen tv in separate sitting area with dvd player, etc, etc.

innkeepers glenn, ingrid, and pam were very helpful about area activities and quite gracious.

the town of ashland itself is not that spectacular, though the common man restaurant is pretty decent and only a five min. walk. there is also a common man store, which has assorted new england knickknacks. the town is close to both the mountains and the lakes, so a good jumping off point. it was only a 20-30 min. drive to the major hiking trails at franconia notch.

there was a movie cabinet of dvds with surprisingly up to date movies. round the clock cookies available. nightly wine and hors d'ouvres.

i would definitely recommend this inn to anyone. an added plus is that they are dog-friendly.

Being a multiple repeat visitor to the Glynn House we were disappointed to learn of the ownership change 18 months ago. The new owners have no interpersonal skills and stated many times in converstions how 'this has been the worst 18 months of there lives' My wife and I went there for our anniversary and the experience was not at all pleasing. From the air conditioning that shut down in the evening not to come on again until morning(temp of the day ranged from 95-99degrees) to being served breakfast by a barefooted server, we heard only complaining about the previous owner. We as guests do not care what the innkeepers private affairs and bitterness' are, what we do want is only what we pay for, a nice stay. One of the owners, who happened to be the barefooted server, actually yelled at us when we asked about the air conditioning and an item which was removed from our room. At this Inn we incountered the most unprofessional staff we have ever dealt with in all our travels throughout the country. We and the couples we referred to the Inn will never return.

The Innkeepers at the Glynn House Inn are unprofessional and unethical business people. We were supposed to have our wedding at the inn, and 6 weeks before the wedding, they told us we couldn't have our wedding. When we repeatedly asked for a contract, they kept putting it off, and then they denied everything they had told us. They were rude on the phone, their meaness brought me to tears during our conversations as I tried to figure out what was going on. Based on my experiences with them, I would recommend that anyone considering the Glynn House Inn should take thier bussiness elsewhere.

Our weekend at The Glynn House Inn was absolutely fabulous. The property is delightful. The hospitality was really genuine. The food was superb. The complimentary wine and hors d'ouevres provide a 'house party' atmosphere. We plan to return again and again.

The Glynn House Inn is a 3 story buidling that is listed on the historical register. The house is extremly well done and the rooms are very nice--I would consider this an upscale B&b.
The inn is located in town in Ashland, NH. The location OK but I would not just spend time in the B&b. The food was GREAT! The inn keepers-Glenn and Pam were very nice and helpful.

The new owners Pam,Glenn & Ingrid could not have done any more to make our stay of 3 nights any better. We have been to many countries in Europeand in the Far East plus most cities in the US and this rates in our top 5 for accommodation and friendliness.
We stayred in the Adams suite and every made it a luxury (even romantic )stay.......and we 've married 34 years!
The two buildings compliment each other and every extra(which you would pay for in many places) was there.........tea in the afternoon....cold drinks.....a wake up tea or coffee outside our room on the dot each morning.
Great advice from Glenn & Pam on where to visit and eat.......with the very good Common Man restaurant a short 5 minute walk away....so much so we went there evry night which is most unusual for us....but the menu made that possible,
When you get a top class bed.....a whirlpool bath...seperate luxury shower......with classy furniture then you have the makings of a great stay.
Finally the highlight was the breakfast that varied each day setting us for an ideal location to visit the lakes. Trust us...these new owners have a success on their hands and you should share it.

For those of you who are like me, and went on tripadvisor to find a good place to stay, I was sorely disappointed in the way that management at this inn conducts business. My boyfriend and I were supposed to stay at this B&B on july 4th weekend for two nights, but had to cancel two days before our stay due to unforeseen circumstances.
The inn charged us for BOTH nights stay, and when I had asked them to send us receipts, they had told us that we could reschedule within 6 months. When we called them back two weeks later (the receipts did not arrive), we wanted to reschedule. They then went on to tell us that we could NOT reschedule because we did not tell them that in advance. So the entire amount that we paid was a sunk cost. This is an absurd policy. We asked them why we couldn't reschedule when they told us in advance that we could. They said that they were entirely booked. Not only was Ingrid, the lady we spoke with, rude but she was extremely impatient. To me, this is a horrible way to conduct business. We were told something one week, and then relayed a different message a few weeks later.
Judging by how rude the lady was on the phone, I can't imagine this place being a comfortable, friendly and relaxing place. We've stayed at multiple B&Bs in the past and have never felt completely swindled. If we had booked for 5 nights, we would have been charged for all 5 nights, without the ability to reschedule. This is unfair to the customer and an unwise business practice. We were looking forward to staying at this beautiful inn and recommending it to other people. Unfortunately, we didn't find it to be a good experience even before we got there. We just don't want this to happen to others. Please be careful when booking at this inn....
