From the warm welcome at the airport, to arrival at the breathtaking Pangolin Lodge, the service was impeccable. I did 2 boat cruises on the Chobe. The photographic guide was outstanding, and the boat captain knew exactly how to position the boat for the best photos. Dinner in the evening was excellent and could be served in top restaurants in any leading city. Breakfast was perfect. The passion and dedication of all the staff was tangible. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is a memorable experience that delivers much more than it promises. The organization is excellent. Pangolin focuses on delivering a fantastic experience, with enthusiastic photo experts, brilliant guides and an amazing location. The camp is comfortable and the Pangolin's commitment to getting the best result for the customers is unbelievable. The days are long, but are filled with different aspects of the environment. Animal sightings abound and the photographic experts are gentle coaches, helping everyone to get that special shot. We loved the special features like the balloon and helicopter flights. The camp is very comfortable, with good food and a special atmosphere.

A majestic experience on the border river between Namibia and Botswana.
Where can you sit in the evening and hear the hippos wandering around your boat?
See Elephants crossing the river and much more? This all with very professional and kind guidance of the boat captain and the crew. No cellular coverage, so no phone or internet. Only us, the crew and the animals, surrounded by the milky way. The photo equipment on the photo boat is state of the art and we don't know which photos to keep. Just amazing.

A must do activity in Chobe/Kasane. Extremely professional guide to assist all your photography needs. A Chobe River cruise is probably the epic activity to do in Africa; doing it with Pangolin and getting the opportunity to take awesome photo's becomes a truly unique opportunity. Must do it!

Competes easily with the very best in RSA. photographic opportunities on both boat and drives are excellent.very good guides and photo support on both boat and drive activities. terrific photo access especially during the quieter mornings, from small bee eaters to fish eagles. elephants swimming, playing in the river and buffalos crossing from one grass island to another.
I used my own camera / lens combo but they do provide Canon Sigma equipment that allows frame filling images and in future I would use their equipment. the use of gimbled mounts on the boats takes the weight and makes every shot simpler.
excellent in all aspects

From the minute we stepped into the New Pangolin Chobe Lodge we knew we were in for a first class experience. From the natural design of the lodge boasts all the amenity you deserve from an all inclusive bar to a swimming pool with a fire pit inside. The first class chef treated us to everything from wild boar to vegan options. As a vegetarian I have never eaten so well. Once at the Lodge you felt you were one big happy family swapping stories over drinks and food. All the staff at the lodge were lovely and always willing to help.
The photo specialists taught all levels of photographic skills from beginners to professional. Sara and Sabine were very patient with us and taught us skills we didn't know we had. The local guides were very knowledgeable too and always go us into the right position for a great photo.
The Khwai Camp was also an amazing adventure in the bush. The service continues with wonderful staff. Glamping has never been so much fun

We will be back with friends.

We had a great time taking photos of elephants, hippos, warthogs, buffalos and all the local birds, the cameras were great, the memory chips were handy and the chairs were really comfortable.

Pangolin organised my trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The photography help was invaluable and it didn't matter what level you were at or type of camera. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation, food, and vehicles were great. Would love to travel with them again.

Pangolin Photo Safaris organised our entire two week trip to Botswana and South Africa in June/July, and I can honestly say it was the best trip we have ever had. We started at the Cresta Mowana Lodge on the Chobe River, then a few days on Pangolin's houseboat on the river, and then flew down to Khwai Tented Camp in the Okavango Delta. From beginning to end, this was an awesome experience. We had a long 24-hour journey from the UK to Kasane, and were a bit shocked when Sara met us at the airport, and said, "Drop your bags and get onto the river." Within an hour, we were sitting on Pangolin's superbly kitted out photo boat surrounded by elephants and were in heaven--and any idea of wanting to sleep had completely gone out of the window! In a short review, I cannot express everything but will summarise. All Pangolin's photo guides were wonderful -- knowledgeable and fun to be with. The lodgings, including the house boat, were brilliant. On the house boat, the food was extraordinarily good and all the staff superb. All the boat/flight connections worked perfectly. Special mention to Khwai Tented Camp. This was heavenly. Thomas and Barbara, the hosts, couldn't have been more solicitous, thinking of every detail. The staff were warm, friendly and efficient. The guides were superb. We honestly felt that everyone was family after a few days. Wonderful wildlife both at Chobe and Khwai. We can't talk more highly of Pangolin and thank them very warmly for a wonderful holiday.

We stayed at the new Chobe lodge that recently opened and could not have been more pleased. The entire trip was incredible! Our photo guide, Aubrey was really spectacular. He is so patient and walked us all through how to appropriately use their high powered cameras as well as how to frame a great shot. The land and boat safaris were equally great. We spotted everything from leopards to lions and even a very close encounter with the elephants from the boat.

Everyone that we encountered at Pangolin was not only professional but so warm and welcoming. We will never forget this trip and I would highly recommend booking a tour with Pangolin and staying at their beautiful lodge! I’m already researching their either locations for future holidays.
