Really pretty lodge beautifully decorated, first-rate service from friendly and helpful staff, wonderful food, and first-rate guides for seeing animals in Chobe National Park and on the Chobe River. The small size means you get to eat family style with the other guests, thereby meeting some new people and comparing notes on the day's activities. Plus, the guided trips don't have to mean 30 people packed together on a boat or in a land rover; instead, you get much more personal attention. Emily and Mark, who manage the lodge, make it so very inviting and will do anything they can to make your stay as good as it can be. On our ride to Victoria Falls, we met a couple staying at another lodge and hit it off. We invited them over for dinner, then called to see whether it would be all right. Even without too much notice, they made it happen, enough food for all, and an even more fun evening. I would definitely go back, and can recommend it without reservation.
And did I mention that warthogs and banded mongeese roam the lawn on the river side of the lodge? And hippos can sometimes be seen (and heard) early in the morning on the same lawn?? Very cool.More
