When we saw the outside of this hotel we were a bit worried about it. However it turned out to be a hidden gem.
The gardens and the two pools were beautiful.
The staff could not have been friendlier and could not do enough for us to make our stay a happy and memorable one.
The menu was varied..the staff were ready to explain it all...and the food was terrific.
OK it was a bit off the beaten track but the centre of town was only a short tuk tuk ride away.
The hotel was an oasis of calm after hot busy days sightseeing.

Great little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff with well appointed rooms which are spacious and clean. The restaurant has an extensive selection and is very reasonably priced. The complimentary massage was very welcome after a hot days tour of the amazing temples.

This is the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Laos/Cambodia. The staff, especially on reception/client relations deserve a special mention. Good English, good knowledge of local restaurants etc, and the only place I been to where they proactively loan you a good quality guidebook to all the local historical sites to keep until you leave.

The rooms are true oriental luxury (but without going over the top), the gardens are lush and two pools just right for a hotel this size. The food is great too.

The only downside is that it's well outside town, and the immediate surroundings are a main road and some workshops, so you need a tuk tuk to go anywhere. It takes about 10 mins to get into the centre, and the hotel has at least one of its "own" tuk tuk drivers, who's a great guy who speaks some English.
The upside is that it's a slightly shorter distance to the main historical sites.

We really enjoyed our time in Siem Reap and no small part to the wonderful staff and amenities at the Pavillion...hotel. The staff was gracious and helpful at all times. The free massage was lovely as well as the other massages that I had. The two pools were wonderful for my teenage children. Just enough shade in the afternoon to not have to use sunscreen all the time (My kids are fair!) The food as the restaurant was good and breakfast was lovely. My favorite part were the family rooms. Big room with two bathrooms, but we were all together. Plenty of space. The hotel is not too big, just enough space for everyone. Even staying at very nice 5 star hotels, I enjoyed my stay here the most. We definitely want to come back!

Room Tip: The family rooms are great. Our room was on the 2nd floor by the pool, but the wall are thick. You d...

Like the secret garden, you go through a hole in the wall and immediately enter an oasis of calm.

Loved it the moment we arrived. The welcome we received was outstanding. Cold drink and a full explanation of everything the hotel had to offer.

The room was gorgeous , clean and spacious. The fairy tale that arrived each night on the bed was a lovely touch.

The infinity pool was welcome after a day in the heat as was the 2 hour massage I had one afternoon which cost £12.00.

Finally a special mention to the breakfast girls who met you with massive smiles and in their broken English could not do enough to assist you.

Already looking for a way to return as soon as possible.

Thank you, you made our holiday.

Room Tip: We had a deluxe room which had a balcony overlooking the garden.

What an absolute GEM. initial view you think it's a bungalow then you walk through the gate and it all opens up before your eyes. We stayed there for 5 nights earlier this month and couldn't have wished for better. From the minute we arrived we knew we were going to enjoy staying there.

We stayed in the old part of the hotel and it great. Our own little balcony and plenty of space in the room itself. The complementary bowl of fresh fruit (daily) was a very nice touch. Breakfast is available all day which is great and means that an early start to visit the temples before it gets too hot or too crowded, you can enjoy breakfast at acreasonable time of around 11AM and then rest up in the heat of the day by one of the two pools.

All the hotel staff were very helpful, curteous and polite and provided a level of service well above what you would expect at a 5 star hotel. The food was very good and plenty of choice at all meals.

The Tuk Tuk provided for each room on a complementary basis was a Definately perk and Vishna our driver/guide was great even if we did ask for him at 5.30 most mornings. Always had scale on his face and good suggestions to help us plan our visits.

A 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the centre of town means plenty of opportunities to visit the market for shopping as well as a plentiful supply of eating houses and bars.

All in all I can't fault the Pavillion d'Orient and would highly recommend it. Great value and we'll priced. If you are going to Siem Reap you need to try it. It deserves it's #2 position on the tripadvisor site.

We have been there for 3 days and this is a perfect place.
Frontdesk nice and willing to help in your restaurants booking and day to day questions.
Charming pool.
Nice room with balcony, perfect to have a drink there after dinner. By the way, drinks are sold a very gentle way, 3 USD for a generous glass of whiskey
Other advantage, the breakfast that you can have all day long (!) and which is really good and nicely served.
Do not hesitate to get there if you get to Siem Reap, enjoyable stay guaranteed.
