“better than any five star”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

Booked the hotel after reading reviews @ tripadvisor. Since the time we stepped in the hotel staff gave a overview of angkor and also the free guide book. Staff are very kind and always helpful. The free tuk tuk is just awesome also our driver saren had full knowledge abt the temples. we hired a guide who was quite impressive. Rooms are very nice, colonial in nature. The breakfast has a wide range and very fulfilling. Spa was also very good. Lastly the whole stay was just awesome, always will remember. I would rate them better than any 5 star hotel in siem reap for their service and guest friendly attitude !!
Free tuk tuk is the best part as well as the staff always smiling and willing to help ! I would want to give 6/5 for everything. Must stay if ur going to angkor. Worth every penny u pay

Our family of 2 grandparents (my husband and me), 3 adult children, and 2 grandchildren (ages 4, 6 months) had a fabulous experience at this hotel. Our 3 rooms overlooked a beautiful landscape of pools and gardens. Each room was very well appointed and comfortable. Dining in the hotel open air restaurant was delightful, with friendly service and good food. The spacious, lush grounds with pools provided a great place for all of us (including our very active grandchildren) as a break from touring the amazing sites of Angkor Wat down the road. The room price includes a tuk tuk with driver for the day, which we used both for transport to the Angkor Wat sites and to get into town, just a few minutes tuk tuk ride away. We stayed 3 nights this past November - have been meaning to extol the virtues of the Pavillon d'Orient ever since... finally doing so.

End February, I spent 5 nights in this hotel.

This hotel has found the perfect solution for me having received the package with the free tuk tuk from 5 am to 10 pm and a free pick-up and return to the airport by car, especially for people who like to move all the time.

We asked to the hotel to find a guide who knows the history of Angkor Wat very well and Mr Sov Sothit made a great job.... he could give an answer to all the questions of my husband (35 dollars/day). I would also like to thank our tuk tuk driver, Mr Bun Thong for his kindness. Moreover, he was a very cautious driver.

The bedroom was nice and you receive in a dispenser: soap, gel shower, shampoo and conditioner. It is the first times a hotel offers you every day fresh fruits: a mango, an apple and small bananas. I really appreciated that. Of course, you had also 2 bottles of water of 950 ml but the temperature was 33 degrees (28 degrees at night).

You receive a 30 minutes complimentary massage. I recommend their massages in comparison with the massages in downtown even in a well-known house. Their prices are quite reasonable: 10 dollars for a traditional Khmer (60 minutes), 14 dollars for relaxing massage and 6 dollars for an ultimo back (30 minutes).

Their breakfast was very good : orange juice, mango juice, croissant, pain perdu, white and brown toasts, banana or chocolate cake, homemade jam, your choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, corn flakes and cereals, homemade yogurt, one smoothie and seasonal fruits (mango, pineapple). The price of this breakfast is 6 dollars but most of the time it is included in your package.
When you leave earlier (for instance for the sunrise), you can ask for a breakfast basket otherwise but you can have your breakfast when you want.

The price of the beverages was reasonable: water 500 ml (1,25 dollar), water 1,5 l (2,50 ml), coca or sprite (1,25 dollar), coca light (1,75 dollar).

My only concern was to find a sunbed in the shadow when I came back from my visits of the temples. When you have a guide, most of the time you leave the hotel at 8:30 and come back at 3 pm... One exception is if you want to see the sunrise on Angkor Wat, we leaved the hotel at 5 am and come back at noon after visiting the small temple of Banteay Srei, time for some rest near the swimming pool. They have two swimming pools: one with 6 sun beds and 3 sun beds like a bed. The other swimming pool has 18 sun beds.

Moreover you have the free Wi-Fi.

You can give your laundry at this hotel or otherwise there is a shop to wash and iron your laundry for the price of 2 dollars/kilo (1 dollar/kilo in the centre) near the hotel.

The visit of the Senteurs of Angkor (nice presents with a beautiful package) and the Artisans d’Angkor (wood, paintings, etc.) are interesting because you have a guide who explains their way of manufacturing their products.

I recommend this hotel and the visit of the temples even if you are not really interested in this kind of visit because the surrounding is very beautiful.

A great hotel with excellent service from all their staff. There was a complimentary pick up and drop off included in the room rate which is a nice touch and we were made to feel welcome straight away by the driver.
On arrival at the hotel they gave us a cold towel and a welcome drink and we given very useful information about the town and the hotel by the reception desk.

The rooms are very large and spacious - we were on the second floor which had views over the pool. The walk in shower was huge. Beds are large and very comfortable. The wifi is complimentary and had good strength is all areas of the hotel. They provide 2 complimentary bottles of water and a bowl of fresh fruit a day. Also a complimentary 30 minute massage is thrown in.

You get a large choice for breakfast and it was very good.

The hotel is located a few kilometres away from Pub Street where most of the action is with the bars and restaurants, however this is no problem as you have a tuk tuk driver assigned to you on arrival and he is available from 5am to 10pm and you can as far out as Banteay Srei and the floating villages using the tuk tuk (Beng Melea not included)

Hotel will also provide take away breakfast for those who plan to visit the Angkor temples at sunrise which is a nice touch.

My only reservation and the reason why it is not given 5 stars is whether the hotel was worth $100 a night - it was the most expensive hotel we had stayed in during our 3 week holiday.

They were other hotels in Siem Reap which may have been better value!

Throughout our two-week trip I think this is the hotel that provided us with greatest value for money. Romantic, exotic, and beautiful resort all around. This in combination with charming and genuine service staff that actually care about your visit makes this hotel worthy of 5 tripadvisor circles (and more if possible).

This was undoubtedly the best hotel we stayed in in Siam Reap and all of Cambodia. Actually, it was more like staying with friends. From the moment we arrived (they pick you up at the airport) we were met by the Concierge who acclimated us to the town, property, and sights. We were also given cool towels and refreshments. I had a rough itinerary, which he tweaked to make our stay more leisurely and yet see more with less crowds. Then, we were taken to our rooms. As we passed through the grounds, it felt like we were in the jungle, filled with amazing plants and water features. Then into the room. Large, bright, clean; with a fruit basket waiting for us. We also has a balcony second floor room with a view of the grounds and pool. Highly recommended. The included breakfast was good and filling. The tuk-tuk driver was knowledgeable and courteous, and always ready to take us wherever we wanted to go. And always had cold water for us after seeing reach ruin. Overall, I wish I could give this place 6 stars. We can't wait to return one day.

Room Tip: Get a second floor room with a view of the grounds and the pool. And take a 1/2 hour and relax in t...

The positive reviews are 100% accurate. This place was a dream come true and I hope to return back here one day. Truly stunning. The service was impeccable and the value for money astounding. During the 3 week tour of Asia this hotel and country was the highlight of my trip. Not going to elaborate more as it has all been said.
Stop looking. Stay here. Thank me later.
